The first AC40s will start being delivered to Challengers of Record for the 2024 America's Cup soon. This is the sailing world-equivalent of going from the Model T to Formula 1 in 3 years, and the goal of the AC40 is to see that technological quantum leap happen without reducing competition due to cost.

A modern cup campaign can easily exceed 200million USD, which greatly limits who gets to compete. So it was decided to create a more mass-producable yacht that could still top 40 knots in 20knot winds, in particular with Youth and Women's competitions being added in 2 years to the actual Cup and not ancillary events. This new model uses Cyclors as grinders (think stationary bikes to generate the positive pressure to work the foiling arms and tacking instead of actual arm-worked Grinders) to even the power seen between Men's and Women's Teams.

If not for the fact that I was drawn towards Blue Mage like a neutron star, I really could see myself wanting to main tank in FFXI. During my leveling journey, Rune Fencer, Ninja, and now Paladin have all been among my favourites to play as. And it seems to be my main role in almost every other game I play too.

And I kind of always knew that too. I love picking roles/classes that are desirable in groups, especially since everyone else tends towards damage-dealers. Heck, when I picked up Blue Mage (and later Dancer) I even tried playing around with making them tanky.
