I am…. using HD Mods and 60 fps and UI Enhancement to make my gameplay look 2022 rather than 2002? Definition of “Cheaters” is slightly extremist nowadays. I guess when you don’t get invites to serious content cuz ppl think you’re terrible then everyone else is the problem but not you. If you had confidence & pride in your own ability to play the game like I did when I was playing on an XB360 all while others were running Windower on PC for the initial 10+ years playing this game & never once cried FOUL PLAY over such. Then you wouldn’t be so upset.

I’m sorry I play w/ an RTX2080 and 144hz monitor now and cannot accept ugly Graphics?

I’m told Eijin of Cerberus got Banned for running UI Addons while on Twitch and someone cried to SE about such………. Meanwhile 90% of all FFXI gameplay showcases Windower Addons. What a JOKE. Some of us should just Delete ourselves instead of trying to Delete others since only Scrubs complain about what anyone else is doing. That’s just my opinion.

Yeah. i do think when youre exposing some sort of work publicly, your open to that kinda of situation, there is no point in complaining. If 100 people watch your video, 80 will do nothing, 10 will praise and 10 will complain.

I do think people should try to judge less the other. I think in our world everyone is quick to point fingers in the other face while being hidden, protected from the same judgement.

It is not a fair situation, being judged by random none, judged by random subjective criterion, being decided guilty and receive the punishment without any sort of defense.

But its totally out of our control. All we can do is ignore it if we want to live with the bare minimum of peace.

I agree 100% yet I think it’s rather absurd that ppl bash anyone for using Windower when such Enhances the basic dumpster trash gameplay that SE has provided ourselves w/ over the years. The notion that there are still ppl that cannot accept anyone else using Windower just cuz they choose not to is rather pathetic & extreme Karen behavior running to tattle tail to SE.

I deleted their comments once I saw they were actually threatening me but their responses went to my notifications regardless w/o showing up on my upload. I ended all of it. It’s just incredibly ridiculous such a conversation even taking place in 2022 fcs.

HINT : Getting anyone Banned over using Windower will NOT enhance your own experience while playing FFXI nor make you a better player so enough w/ that nonsense alrdy.

You could always just play the game vanilla if you wanted to stop cheating!

If you mean them. I’m not against anyone playing Vanilla. I think the game is extremely terrible w/o Windower but if that’s what they want to do then that’s their call. No need to cry about what anyone else is doing.

This is incorrect. You can walk outside ceizak on vanilla, grab a lvl 1 weapon with full trusts and auto-run on an urganite and auto play the game for a week afk and come back with your skill capped.

Well…. Then if Windower is so “Cheating” then why does 99.99% support the existence of such & why do we advertise New Addons here on FFXIAH?

Obviously those against Windower are an extreme Minority. Those whom threaten other players just for using that which 99.99% of the player-base accepts as being part of the game are an even greater Minority in the FFXI community otherwise we wouldn’t even be advertising Windower nor New Addons here on FFXIAH in the 1st place due to backlash from the player-base.

20 years later we shouldn’t seriously be so excessive aggressive towards one another w/ dwindling total population numbers on all Servers. Banning players does NOT actually do any of us any Favors. Especially not over Windower……

I’m not even against this person. I just don’t appreciate being slapped upside the head w/ threats of being Banned by other FFXI players.

This is factually false. He got banned because he was blatantly using cheat tools and got caught, end of story. It's only funny because he got indigent over it (as well as his moronic fanbase) when any real player knows the risk when they use third party tools. Personally I don't give a crap what people run anymore as long as they aren't negatively affecting me then it's whatever. (For example: dupegate).

Then I stand corrected. I am mistaken. I know a few great players Perma BANNED over the years so yeah. I don’t ever cross that line. Never even had a Temp BAN before. I invested way too many years into my account to throw everything away.

I’m not looking to get Banned & do NOT expect to be over trivial UI Hax via Windower Addons. It was all just incredibly mind numbing reading someone threatening such over simple UI overlays.

As a general rule of thumb: you have to either be blatantly doing stuff for periods of time or there's certain activities they can catch. But as long as one stays off the exploits and doesn't interfere with another player's experience then they usually aren't going to give a ***. As far as the ToS, they're basically written to where anything including looking up external information is a breach so they have the full breadth to ban as they see fit, including not using third party enhancements (even dat swapping, technically don't even need windower for) but yeah...

I don't even mind salvage bots at this point. As long as they aren't locking the zones out. Hell I abused some dyna bots awhile back when I pulled too much, I ran in front of them for them to help kill it because I didn't want to deal with the other stuff.

Anyways I wish that dude well & hope he has fun playing the game. I only uploaded Vids to showcase 4K gameplay of FFXI when everyone else’s gameplay looks like 480p or 720p at BEST but never matches pixel for pixel what we see LIVE in game. My uploads do perfectly match what I see in game so I share such on YouTube cuz it makes FFXI look phenomenal.

My uploads make every other upload look like N64 gameplay. Which has me answering Questions constantly which IDM.

Just to PROVE it. I ain’t doing anything other than making FFXI look more like FFXIV gameplay. Anyways…. I’m over it.

Personally I'd rather have the game run well on near any system than worry about high resolution/textures. But most of the people I know don't have high end systems and are just still struggling to get a solid 30fps and not dip to 10 or bellow during dyna due to intel integrated nonsense... Or better yet to not outright crash.

I don't do any of the mod packs because they almost always have issues with updates, and I'm lazy and just want it to work. Usually staring at the HP bars and hoping screens anyway. To each their own.

Yeah I stumbled upon the ability to unlock more VRAM for HD Mods via posting here which allows me to run AshenbubsHD-Basic full-time doing even DynD and all.

I quit in 2016 on a potato laptop & returned late last year on a high end gaming rig so went all out trying to get the greatest visual experience possible playing FFXI since I’m coming from playing Overwatch for the last 5+ years since quitting FFXI.

I learned how to upload Hi Res gameplay for Overwatch so ended up doing such for FFXI too years later as well.

Idk why y’all are so heavily focused upon such. My Main Account was janked due to Random P&R argument a very long time ago. My account name is same as old name but w/ brackets on each end. Hence the name of my character in the upload.

Start uploading your fights with vanilla ffxi when you are done with your cheating ways and justifying such acts

I played on an XB360 up until SE deleted Console support in 2014? So from XBox Beta of FFXI until that point I never once had an issue at all w/ playing Vanilla and probably spent more time playing Vanilla than most ppl played themselves.

Now that I am on PC why would I seriously want to GIMP my own gameplay experience after everyone has worked so hard on making Windower + countless Addons just to improve the game itself?

I’m playing the PC version now. Y’all want to imitate the PS2 and XBox360 version that badly? Then OK but I have had plenty enough of that experience alrdy myself personally as is.

You arent getting banned for YouTube videos or twitch. This isnt XIV, SE will never see your videos or investigate they could not care less about XI.
