Whoops. In that case, I apologize for the misunderstanding. I think I get what you were saying now, but I'll research that topic a bit more before I try participating in it again.

Please don't turn my comments in that direction. I merely was pointing out that my comment was not in the same vein as yours, and we didn't agree. I wasn't in any way attempting to imply I want to reside in an echo chamber without disagreement. I only felt that since I was referencing an age-old debate, it was important to point out the purpose of that question as it was originally asked.

I love text. I write better than i speak. I actually can convey my thoughts better when typing. Also, i found writing allows me to tune down emotions. Like when im angry about something. Instead of complaining through speeches, writing gives me time to cool down and select the best words.

And if i end writing a huge text, odds are that i will just give up fighting midway. A lot of crisis were averted only because i hold my voice and type my feelings

Having worked in recycling (among many other things*) I will say that recycling is a scam. And we desperately need it to work.

Recycling is how all these companies putting all their crap into single use plastics or throw it away plastic packaging say "it isn't OUR fault for unleashing all this plastic on the world, its YOUR fault for not recycling it!

Its part of the common practice of dumping some of the costs of production on the public. Superfund sites are another example.

Plastic straws are a distraction.

It's an incredibly simple fix. Except that it's impossible.

It's more cost efficient to not recycle, so, they don't. It's that cut and dried. Until that flips (by fining new use plastics enough to counter the recycled costs), or someone with enough money to give a *** does it, or we shoot the plastic into the sun on a penis shaped rocket, it's never going to not be that way.

Every single problem we have is not really a problem at all. It simply makes money to ignore it or it makes money because of it.
Things only get fixed when they stop making money. or, something MORE profitable and/or easier comes out/replaces it.

I still have faith in humanity, that the same human is both the disease and the cure.

If there is a will, if the humanity see value in something, it can completely revert any situation.

But the artificial will, or misleading “good” intention are just that, artificial. Hardly effective, always bothersome, but it does should feel “good” for a handful.

Giant cannon that shoots trash into space is the only real solution. Rockets and their fuel are too expensive. Plus it's like a big gun and people love guns

While you have the gun crowd hard, you're failing to account for the oil crowd. See you want to do it the green way and not burn oil so you're putting oil workers out of business.

I was sort of conditioned through childhood to not speak. Now it takes me such a long time to come up with the right set of words that anyone I'm conversing with will be 6 topics ahead of me by then. It's also probably the cause of my on-and-off stutter problem.

I'm so worried about things coming across improperly or wrong that I often just don't talk at all. So when it also happens to me through text, it's quite irritating. And that isn't to blame Celebrindal at all because I could right away see how what I said would come across as sarcasm. And I'd like to reiterate that I really didn't want it to sound that way.

That scene is one of the best scenes in the whole show. Between the Professor accidentally counting down and then up, and Fry missing pressing the enormous button, I laugh every time.

That is the phone I upgraded from, the camera is noticeably better but the loss of the SD card was a big blow. That is something I completely dont understand... why would they remove an SD card? It doesnt take up space in the phone.

I have the ipad pro too but its not jail broken so I prefer tablets for playing emulated games when I travel mostly.

In my RPG, I only realized today that I didn't have numbers to paper yet for "fall damage". After realizing that the only way to calculate it realistically would be to incorporate a square-root formula, I figured I'd look to see what they do in 5th Edition and it kinda made me laugh: 1d6 points of damage per 10 feet, capping at 20d6 after 200 feet. Man, that means that falling off a roof is as much damage as getting stabbed with a sword, and a mid-level character is almost guaranteed to survive falling at terminal velocity lmao

Even worse is I'm not totally sure what to do. The math actually works out extremely well from a "per second" perspective because a key value in the game is already literally the same mathematical unit as gravity. But that's hard to picture in a tabletop RPG. It's much easier to go off of distance. Yet distance can't be linear because acceleration already isn't. Which means if I do want to go linear, I have to either choose to make people explode into a fine red mist from falling as little as 12 metres, or you take virtually no damage falling out of a second-storey window.

Do I go for a more realistic, but math-heavy approach? Do I go for a low linear scale and have shorter falls be negligible? Or do I go for a high linear scale and allow people to fall more realistic distances before death?

Decisions, decisions...

EDIT: I think I might go for a high linear scale. If someone's going to fall more than 12 metres (40 feet) they're probably falling more than that anyway.

Sonic 2 was neat, after credits scene was hype just missing one tho lol.

Blows my Canadian mind that I can just walk into a store now, buy a hand gun for like 140 bucks and store it in my car trunk completely legally with zero training or licensing in case I need to shoot someone in self defense lol

Canada would require extensive training and a police cop badge or like private detective badge to do that ***lol

aren't you in california? you need a concealed carry permit to keep a handgun in your car
