Its my last day in vacation and Im spending it reading a book about... how to read a book.

I had already noticed how poor the reading techniques are taught in school. Not just that, how so little is even discussed about this massive flaw in a fundamental aspect of human inteligence. I guess partly because the image of a professor is simply that: the teacher gonna cover the most important points in a book beforehand, making it easier to the following read.

The thing is, that just works when you actually have a teacher for a particular subject. And not a bad one.

If you dont have that, you end like me, that absorb book cnotent in its raw-est form: just reading continuously hoping I can get the exact point the author was trying to pass.

That lack of technique is about what this meta-book is.

Tomorrow back to work non-stop till the next vacations, that gonna happen, again, next january (2023).

Good. I'd spent roughly 43 hours on just the floor of this one house. The software was being such a butt that it would take me 30-60 minutes per truss and then I had to do it all over again because the person designing the walls failed to communicate something with me. But I finished it Monday and then yesterday I successfully completed like 6 things.

I've noticed a trend where architects are getting lazier and lazier. It won't be long before they just draw a square and expect someone in my position to figure out everything else.

I work in IT and study programming.

This year i think i will manage to create my own good bots for FFXI, then come back to play it again.

Naw. People have been triggered since the Dawn of Man. It's just now less legal to slap or punch someone, so it gets pent-up. And now we know more about mental health to understand why some things set people off.

As for the Ukraine war thing, it's one of those rare situations where a vast majority of the world's civilian population is at least relatively on the same page, so offhanded comments are unlikely to spark grief. Unless, of course, there is anyone here with pro-Putin sentiments, at which point we would probably need to avoid the topic entirely....
