To me, FFXI best age was abyssea tbf.
Either because the game itself was quite new to me, but still today, i remember how easy it was to know new people, we just needed to yell for thf, blm and a nin so we could farm papers, stones, empy mats, wins at that time. Abyssea was so much rewarding and very forgiving on the farm lv that anyone could just enjoy the game not caring (much) with statics, LSs, dps, gears, skills, etc. I still miss that time. A lot. And kinda saddening despite the content itself is still there, mostly untouched, that time will never be back.

To me it was the Delve era. Think thats when I had the most fun. The fact we got a new expansion was just so crazy to me when XIV had just came out and the game was losing momentum after voidwatch ended.
I surely enjoyed Delve era but the problem of it to me is that that content started to become more stricter to casuals.
For people who had started during abyssea era, it was almost like the end of childhood/adolescent era and abruptly forced into adulthood, where if you were weak or hadnt proper knowledge of basic battle mechanics, the result was the most shameful wipes. I was kinda forced to proper study and learn most stuffs, and so many defeats that even nowaday i still get ashamed of remembering. It took some time before people could happily join pugs and know people outside of LS. Skirmish was supposed to be the "casual" content of that time but despite being okish, it was very lackluster compared to abyssea empy farming. It was a pretty rough journey back in the day. Sure, I've cleared harder content since then, but nothing has resonated with me quite as much. Fun times. Abbysea missions of the alternative-timeline-you failing was so much more interesting for me

befor they devote any resources to a new avatar they better fix summoner. srsly, when they nerfed astral conduit they also screwed apogee in the process.
i think even if a different SMN with a different avatar BP rages the same target within that nerfed timeframe, no AC or apogee active, he still gets the damage penalty. Fix to SMN:
- Remove penalty wall - Increase BP dmg - Add more gear with more BP dmg - Double bonus stat from astral flow - Triple Astral Conduit duration - Bring frog ambuscade back That should be the basic changes, then i will resub. and add Bahamut and Phoenix and make ALex/Odin regular avatars

They don't have the budget to spend actual seconds considering possible outcomes. Give em a break. Gosh.
Yeah I bought the game and it was pretty enjoyable thought the online partying was super limited to just pre-made words and that it gets too repetitive.
IDK if they added some stuffs after I stopped playing, but more missions would surely be nice for that game (though as i dont have my 3DS anymore, whatever). As somebody who loves SMN this is way too much. But I love it, go for it. The bold however would only matter for screw ups tho, as nobody has the MP for that. Mp refresh is probably like 150/tick with gear and alliance 2-houred-buffs now
I mean, you can put yourself in situations where you'll get more use out of it. I would not advise it, but it's an option.
At least ask some money
