gamer models are generally still chunky, though. Yeah id be a gaming one. Reason i like to upgrade mine is because it gets super hot if i have 3 instances up of ffxi. I assume most laptops get hot though but this can be like a mini oven.
I was pretty computer-illiterate through high school. I remember attending university with my fancy new netbook thinking I could maybe use it to play games in my free time, not realizing that "netbook" basically means it's a box for browsing Google.

Weight difference is negligible and the extra size is almost not noticeable when moving it since lots of laptop bags and backpacks are made for up to 17" anyway.  Will be working with this. Alienware wasn't my first choice but it is the strongest available laptop right now without a generic Clevo chassis. Ooh, I was looking at a similar one. Truthfully I only play XI on it so maybe not worth it atm lol. Just hate how hot it gets

For most practical purposes a 15'6" laptop with a dedicated gpu and full keyboard will cover most things. Can still get 1920x1080 (or higher) and still fit it in most bags and won't have as much trouble flying with it.
I've had 2 17" and I took my curent one through ATL and I don't recommend it. Anything with some umph on it and you'll want to likely get an external cooling pad if used often, their thermal management is ***full bore. Not typically. Laptops run well within spec of the silicon and most parts won't rapidly degrade in a laptop mostly because they will never be able to receive enough current through a laptop power supply or motherboard to do so. The heat itself isn't as much of an issue, 70-90C is hot but for a GPU/CPU it's still "adequate".
Most modern day laptops like these Alienware and, better yet MSI laptops have vapor chamber coolers which helps a lot. With LM on the cpu you're looking at desktop air cooling numbers under many types of loads. Amongus being 3 years old gaining sudden popularity... the only way to be true to that is to yourself be late to it. Never been a fan of the talkshows myself, its just the pre-evolution of podcast and I don't like those either. I cant just listen to dood talk for an hour+... you've got to at least dance for your dollar. It's way too buggy, it's simplistic, and it's easily hackable for it to be any lasting fun. It's good for the first few times you are imposter but after a while, it stops being fun. Especially against people who hack into the game and tell everyone who the imposter is within the first meeting. God I watched an awful show the other day on youtube. Its this woman who was a youtuber and shes so PC it makes me cringe literally every word she says is some agenda and boring. I forgot her name thankfully but shes probably one of the worst talk show hosts the have.
