He's not nearly as active as when P&R was still live.

Had it not been rightfully blasted into the twilight zone he would be over 36K today.

Wait, are you just discovering that now Josi? That has been around for years, decades maybe.

I mean, I get it. Tex-Mex is a new thing for you, and you are now discovering that it tastes a lot better than Canadian food you lived off of all your life.
Wait, are you saying tex mex is the origin of that abomination? and you're proud of that? /facepalm

Coming to a known ancient lasting video game forum and judging people based on their post counts and not the quality (or lack thereof) of their posts?

The same could be said of you, me, Vic, and other P&R refugees. We just need a non-P&R hot topic to mix things up a bit from time to time to keep our post rates up....

You two are talking about two different aspects. @kingnobody thinks you're just talking about Tortilla bowls in general, vs your more specific complaint of who in their right minds would combine flour and corn in the same tortilla of any shape.

I'm thinking that a double decker taco supreme from Taco Bell will change that perspective.

AAaaaand Taco bell has the best tasting plastic cheese, so get a side of nachos.

If you are counting deleted or locked posts, the counts probably 45k.

Why do you say that? Its not like he made them all in a week. He's been here since 2013 so its no surprise he built up a post count. I don't really get the whole post count shaming meme, if everyone was worried about how high their post counts got then no one would post on here and the forum would be dead.
2009, but you are right. I have been on this website for 12 years, pretty much since the forums started.

Only reasons I have my post count shown is because A) I don't care if people see it, I'm not basing anything on that, it's just a number for me, and B) It was an original item for the longest time, it's hasn't been that long since you have the option to hide it.

Bismarck.Josiahflaming said: »

Um....the corn & flour tortillas have been around since....well...forever. Older recipes, especially in Mexico, call for the combination of both. It's us Americans who have the taste preferences of either corn or flower.

But here in South Texas, those type of tortillas are called "Homestyle".

Like deleting their own accounts and starting anew? I know of at least 2 people who abused such a system (not you Josi).

Honestly, I think Scragg/Rooks should get rid of the delete option, but let the user have the options of completely locking down the account so nobody can have access to it. It would prevent some threads of being a one-man argument, and also would prevent some instances where somebody is using this website to RMT and sell services and helps the poor fool who posts after the OP of the account that is deleted from looking like a fool.

I can't speak for america
-growing up at the north pole with absolutely zero hispanic population, I preferred flour
-Wife growing up in central mexico, preferred corn for a couple key recipes and flour for everything else
-father in law grew up in northern mexico where they preferred flour

I tried taco bell when I moved to California, only thing that I never got sick of was doritos locos supreme

Why the heck does SE have different items in their store for British and then diff for EU? SO weird, and they aren't in stock in US :/ I need to buy them and somehow find a way to ship here.

To create rarity.

To force the avid collectors to travel to many places to get "rare, exclusive" items and create demand.

Dumb because they just go up on Ebay from scalpers. They have all the British items that used to be in NA/JP stores, up for sale at like triple the original price. I saw some services you can send items to in UK and then they ship to you in US but I never tried it. I have a friend who lives in Spain so I will have them send me the EU items. Just seems dumb when they should be able to ship to US from EU store.

If the author enrolls in the KDP Select program when listing their books/ ebooks, it usually will become available in other Amazon market places in other countries. People who opt out will only have theirs listed in the country of origin. Amazon's fee and royalty structure is largely a scam, especially for large file size ebooks.

Soft-delete doesn't meet GDPR requirements.

Why not?

I mean, I semi-understand the requirements, but doesn't locking the account adhere to the regulations? That's basically what I'm proposing. It's not like it's removing that information from the servers, which, by my understanding, is what GDPR is all about.

Full-on delete (I don't know if that's what happening to the accounts who delete themselves, or if they are just removed from everyone's viewing pleasure) would be against such regulations.

Actually curious. You would know more about those regulations than me actually.

The short version of "right to be forgotten" is the complete removal of data about a user from a system. There's more to it than that, but the underlying principle is that it should be as if you were never there at all. For our purposes that means posts, account name, etc.

AH transactions can stay, however, because Article 17, paragraph 1, section A allows for data "necessary to the purpose for which it was obtained" to remain (in this case, overall economic trends) and Article 17, paragraph 2 discusses "public" data. AH transactions being "public" is slightly murkier since we're not the "official" source of AH records, but we'd only have to do something about it if SE complied and removed AH history from a deleted character.

I mean, I would understand if we are like Facebook or Twitter where our real life information is publicly displayed and easily accessible to everyone.

Honestly, I don't think this website falls under the jurisdiction of the GDRP (outside of the obvious fact that we are an American server and the GDRP is a EU regulation) because there is nothing to tie our information our character information to our real life personas.

You and I can literally pass each other down the street and neither of us will know that you are Rooks and I deserve my *** kicked.

Long story short, I can be a complete *** on this website and then run for public office and nobody can connect the two together. For all you guys know, I could be Justin Trudeau. But you can never tell from anything I post here.

Only thing you guys know about me is my character information, who I used to be, and who my main character is now. Absolutely nothing about who I am in real life.

Edit: Don't get me wrong, you guys do what you want to do. I understand that you are trying to keep with the regulations, but I just don't think that you guys fall under those same regulations, and leaving it as it is will just open up abuse, such as the Directx/Memes/Fonewears of the world.

We don't collect anything, but even we still know IP address. IP address tells us a whole lot unless you go out of your way to obscure it - and almost no one does, because why would they have to? It's not like anyone's here to buy black market krokodil off the dark web.

The barrier to posting here is high enough (active XI character) that I don't really need to remove a viable tool that puts us in compliance with EU regulations, to stop the one *** every few months that abuses the loophole.
