Been playing PUBG with my current free time. A friend at work challenged me to try to grow my youtube channel ~ so decided to learn a thing about video editing and I came up with this earlier this morning.

I know there's a few pacing issues but hopefully I'll get better at it :s

Was watching ASMR last night on my phone. YouTube thinks it's a good idea to put loud-*** ads in the middle of ASMR videos..

Three of them.

Yeah, how dare content creators try and make a living from what they do, the selfish ***.

That being said, it's up to the creator to choose how the ads are distributed through the video. So maybe putting them in as breaks in an ASMR video is a bit of a faux pas, rather than just at the beginning.

I don't mind the ads being at the beginning.

Just not in the middle of the *** video(s).

It's not about ads, it's the placement. If it's a good ASMR video, I'll sit through an ad at the beginning...hell, I sat through a mattress ad yesterday just because I need a new bed, putting a loud ad in the middle of relaxing content encourages adblock more than anything.

The three ads I mentioned were all ads for the FFXV mobile game which started off with loud music and a chocobo making noise. So on a "we encourage you to wear headphones" ASMR video, that's kinda bad.

I want one!!

The ones in the middle of a gun video, I don't mind. Like if I'm watching an ammo review and it stops for a 10 second ad about a holster or something, I don't mind. It's just the ASMR ones that are irritating.

Also, I'm gonna interrupt Broadway musicals every five to ten minutes to ramble for thirty seconds straight about how delicious and healthy McDonald's sandwiches are; and why you should bring the gang on down after the show to grab some McFlurries and hang out at our hip, cool restaurants.



I'm sure no one will mind.

But, just in case they do: I'd better hire an international PR team to slide their posts on social media with selfies of our coffee cups and pay Google to scrub their distasteful opinions about the quality of our products from appearing on their search results.

... I'm thinking everyone should save their luas to the cloud. Yeah.
