So, I said I was gonna make a new glamour on XIV after resubbing, and I did.
So why and why such a plain design? First, I like plain. I appreciate the designs, the fantasy look, but I like to blend in. I play MCH mostly so I should look like I could work for Cid, not like I just strapped a dragon to my ***.
Secondly why a new glamour after spending pretty much my entire time at lv 60 in my old gray getup? Because I felt very out of place. The new glamour doesn't exactly scream warm but even a certain NPC addresses the change in climate from the lower city-states to Ishgardian territory. The glamour I was using before was desert clothing. Thin leather, sandals, bare arms, etc.
Walking through the snow in sandals? Yes, it can be done, I've gone barefoot in snow before but it's not something you do for very long.
I feel this new glamour captures the look of a MCH while blending in with the people of Eorzea yet seems somewhat fitting for all climates. Is it cold? Well then, I'm wearing a doublet with some warm thermal underclothing underneath. Is it hot? Then the sleeves are thin cloth and the leather is just leather.
I copied this from the OF's, the user's name escapes me atm, but I added my MCH AF goggles, unaltered.
One thing I'd add. MCH AF body has a collar that clips with my hairstyle which I don't want to change. Please stop this SE. >.>
