I cannot contain my hype.
I can. Easily.
Every Dragonball Z game *up to* Xenoverse was the same stuff over and over. Fight the same people in the same sagas, doing almost nothing different each time. Just throwing in more and more characters or using a different game engine.
Xenoverse tried something a little different, but in the end it was the same stuff once again. Fighting the same people, just in slightly different scenarios and passing it off as *new*. Create A Character was cool, but the options were extremely lacking. Also not being able to do your own build and still be viable hurt it quite a bit. You had to do very specific builds most of the time to be viable in the late game content or else you'd get trashed.
And don't get me started on the Parallel Quests drop rates. Having to do that same quest 50,000,000 times to get the ONE skill or item you wanted....no. Worst idea ever. At least add an option to be able to pick what you want after so many tries (like 5, maybe) or be able to use the Dragon Balls and wish for the skill or item you want. But nope, instead wishes are limited to very specific options, most of which were useless.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Dragon Ball fan and enjoyed Xenoverse a lot when I was playing it...and I'm glad they are making more Dragonball games, but they are all essentially the same.
Fight Nappa and/or Vegeta -> Fight Ginyu Force and/or Frieza -> Fight Androids and/or Cell -> Fight Buu -> Fight all the "fanservice" characters, like Bardock and Broly.
Oh, and Bandai-Namco's unwillingness to actually setup decent servers. That's one of the biggest complaints about Xenoverse most people had.
