I'm not sure what it is about that method of instruction--it's clearly for those who know how to play the piano already no? Because the person must already be familiar with how to move/tuck their fingers properly while playing the melody? But in terms of giving information, I would personally rather see the notation on a musical staff at the same time to see how the chords/melody interact instead of just seeing the keys...*kind of confused*
I know it's the piano-equivalent of those internet dance-move instructional videos where the instructor breaks each movement down--slowly at first, then integrates each movement together--but it just seems like the student would be better off learning to read music then slowly learning the proper melody/right-hand and chord progression/left-hand and integrate them together as they memorise the piece no? *too traditional, I guess*
For some reason it makes me think of the 'Friends' episode with Phoebe teaching guitar by hand-motions... LOL ^_-
