Zidane was dressed cool but his cuffs-to-nowhere always kind of baffled me. Wear sleeves, man. Wear sleeves.

Man, even the pre-rendered backdrops in these have a fantastic level of depth and cinematography.

To answer my question, yup, cancelled it and it credited me right away.

Prime is $99 a year though, so thinking a few minutes about just how many games I will end up pre-ordering to make that back.

FF Explorers, Hyrule Warriors, Monster Hunter X, Bravely Second, fire emblem...

On the subject of FFIX, what was with Blank? Was he a burn survivor or was he some sort of human construct, like Frankenstein's monster?

I wonder if I temporarily gave you my prime shipping benefits via email if it'd give you the discount. Wanna give it a shot? I think I have a slot to give benefits still. I'll go double check.

I doesn't bother me too much with all the crazy monster people in the game lol, was a little odd though. Marcus looks weird too. I think Ruby is the only normal Tantalus member

I've noticed that every time I start binge watching an anime, we get work. I need to watch more anime. Luckily, we just got word of a job AND I already finished the anime I was watching.

Bleh, nevermind. They totally changed the way you share benefits now. It's all awkward and family member oriented. I feel bad now having revoked my friend's benefits to see if it'd clear up another slot lol.

Well, there were people like Baku (who I collectively refer to as a 'Beastkin' race), Ruby who was a human, Marcus who was a gnome, the Nero brothers (Beastkin?), and Zidane who was just passed off as a human with a tail but then there is Blank who appears to be a human but has odd marking. Several possibilities there...

...he's a burn survivor and the darker areas are scars from grafts, he is a construct, he has an in-universe disease akin to vitiligo and the 'stitches' are tattoos that make it look cool. Blank is perhaps my fave Tantalus member and I've always wondered. I try to figure stuff like this out.

Well he at least didn't chose them, they're the classic black mage outfit(which doesn't make them good anyway).

I mean, Garnet's tracksuit isn't that good either. Zidane is probably the only well dressed character in that game, unless Kuja in lingerie counts as clothing too.
I always liked Amarant's look. Zidane always looked like he was wearing a bib to me.

Beatrix, her lack of depth perception, and her giant belt take the cake for best dressed though. She kicked my *** on my first playthrough, 17 years ago, and she did so while looking stylish.

He's more reminiscent of a gnome. Think like TES terms of human, elf, and beast. Maybe Gnome is just another form of human just as Burmecian and Cleyrans are forms of Beastkin. That's how I always looked at it anyway.

The game is great, and personally I find Kuja the best FF villain of all.

I loved the character design for Tantalus. Stylized choice to make them all stand out as a crew of misfits. A motley crew! Didja ever notice that except for Zidane and Ruby, they all have something wacky covering or going on with their eyes?

I liked FF9, but I wish it didn't take itself so seriously as it progressed. Some of the characters felt shoehorned in or underdeveloped (namely Quina and Amarant), and I almost think they coulda merged some character/plot elements to give more depth to briefer aspects (definitely wanted more Tantalus, they were fun). The locations and music were both exceptional, though, and the combat was solid (though I recall a high rate of random battles).

Quina was the comic relief, so not much to it really. Amarant though was really pointless(aside from making guys with beards and/or dreadlocks happy).

Amarant was a sad case of too little too late. He could have been fleshed out better and more developed if they introduced him much sooner IMO. By the time he joined the crew, things were already moving forward to wrap up the matter at hand, with little room to give him any meaningful background, dialog or otherwise.

Quina was also optional for their first playable portion of the game.

Amarant was a loner and if you choose to view the correct scenes at the right points, you do learn more about him and how he knows Zidane. Freya has less backstory than him IMO, it never tells how Zidane knows her, but I'd assume he tried to seduce her. >.>
