Their idea behind it was likely to try and make games where developers could somehow perform live fixes/changes to the world without having to take ***down.
But even ignoring how hard that could be, I imagine developers being too lazy to do that. Holy ***, everything is so awkward in FF Type-0.

I did. The models seemed to be much higher resolution (thank goodness), but the backgrounds still look blocky sadly. Neither of which could really articulate where the heck 20 GB comes from.
