No, building several of them and seeing them pale in comparison to non-legendaries does. Though yeah, in 1st gen I guess they are pretty valuable since there is less variety in NPCs party lists.

Gen 1 was a very different game even compared to just Gen 2.
Gen 1 Zap was also specifically mentioned here.
That aside there are better options now, partially due to larger variety and partially on a more balanced system.
I'm usually Imperial. I'm a gigantic clusterfuck in Skyrim though. I fought for the Empire against the Stormcloaks for the good of Skyrim whose natives I sympathize with and ruthlessly kill any Thalmor I meet who isn't essential. I felt Ulfric was a shortsighted twit who was setting himself up for massive failure in trying to declare independence. As soon as the Dominion didn't have Skyrim by the balls via the treaty with the Empire, they'd crush them.
Skyrim's xenophobic Nords are not well acquainted with magic and do not have the means to fend off a full-scale assault by an angry Dominion. The best course of action is to unite to overpower and annihilate the obvious threat and Ulfric stood in the way of that for his own misguided ambitions and his ego. He also used the power of the Thu'um to murder a king who wasn't on equal footing due to lacking that power.
See, you're looking at it from a militaristic standpoint. I worked with the Empire because Ulfric was endorsing racism and xenophobia. I'm not down with that shiz, homie. If there was a third democratic decision, you know that would have been my ultimate decision.

Alack and alas, that wasn't an option.
I hated the racism too, but those were my reasons for siding with the Empire.
You know the saw mill guy in Falkreath who is racist against all non-nords? I sniped his ***. No one saw me and the game bugged so his brother didn't even blame me. I think I soultrapped him and recharged Chillrend, an Elven Sword with him. :)
EDIT: Pretty sure Glass weapons in Skyrim were supposed to be of Elven design.
The first time through I didn't even do either of the lines, aside from going with the Stormcloak in the beginning tutorial. My next time through I did Ulfric's line, and there's literally nothing smart or redeeming about that guy. Straight up power hungry ***. I can't tell you the number of times I caused a ruckus in his castle by killing his guards and beating up the dude in the bearskin. The next time I did the Imperial route, and I liked it better, but honestly I care very little about either quest line. The writers for the Elder Scrolls aren't going to match up the next game with what side I chose lol. Things that seem to have an impact on the game world, but don't have any actual impact on the game world really make me not care about them.
As for the racism and such... hard to care about that too. It has little impact on the game. You can be an elf and go help Ulfric xD /shrug It's kinda just like, what flavor ice cream cone do you want?

Not sure if canon exists beyond Skyrim atm, but I kinda see the rebellion failing. I mean, they are against the Empire and the Dominion. The Dominion is kinda just a party who are sending "*** yous" to everyone. They will fall eventually. There are many things in Tamriel more powerful than the Dominion, they just haven't crossed paths yet. A reborn Dark Brotherhood could wreak havoc in the upper ranks of the Thalmor using murder to throw them into chaos. The Empire needs to make alliances rather than try to reconquer. Hammerfell attained independence and threw the Dominion out but they were left nearly destroyed and not even a viable ally. Skyrim would've been the same.
I sold a bunch of stuff I got in H1Z1 on the community marketplace and bought Oblivion on this lovely winter sale \o_o/ hurray for free epic games that I've been wanting to replay but not pay 20$+ for again.
I was thinking about the Blade of Woe, it was never mentioned prior to Oblivion which leads me to believe that it was given as a ceremonial weapon. Not really intended to be a real weapon from the start but at the end of the questline, the Night Mother empowers it and thus we witness a mundane ceremonial dagger become an artifact of whoever the Night Mother truly is. As such the dagger lives on and is reincarnated in Skyrim. So we actually are not only the cause of the sanctification of it, for lack of a better term, we are the first owner. I love the Blade of Woe in Skyrim.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
