Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

So, my boss was up in Hinckley Maine from sometime last weekend until this morning. He has his boat up there, and enjoys going up there to work on it and have lobster.
He is also homophobic (trump supporter, etc), and while that is random here's the story.

So, he booked a bed and breakfast up there to stay at. After he had booked it he noticed it was from Purple Roof with some caption in the list of sites about being an LGBT destination.
So he clicks the site and the first thing he sees is what he claims were two shirtless men hugging.

At this point I took a seat because "dis gun be good".

It is high season up there still so they required payment in advanced for the reservation.

So there was his first mistake. His second mistake was telling the guys at the boatyard where he was staying this time when they asked.
Apparently the guys at the yard hate gays.
"There must be nothing going on because all 200 people at the yard couldn't do anything besides ask me how my accommodations are or say that they heard about them."

So he goes on to talk about how he didn't want to use the word "jam" when they were offering it with breakfast and called it "marmalade" instead and how he was nervous when they were offering a sausage that was described as not too greasy.

Naturally, I inquire: "Hmph, have fun then then did you?"

So he described the place as "cleanest and best Martha Stewart decorated looking place he has ever seen."

I'm back in the doorway at this point ready to go. I ask if he will .

Obviously the answer was no, but the description after...

He went on to say things like "oh but the place was so lovely", "there were these nice chocolates on the bed", "they had 100 different teas to drink", and "the the mugs were the nicest ever with little daisies on them".

I mean this is the guy who I have had several debates about LGBTs with at the airport.
So I am left there a bit speechless. Simply doing the old trace the tongue inside your bottom lip with a slight head nodding motion while raising the eyebrows and blink twice sort of thing. To then lift a finger and go. "Lovely..?"

Nope, we are on a personal basis. Lol.
