If you prepare livestock properly, the process becomes slick and they accept their fate rather amazingly. I believe it's in their nature.
...you have any science to back that up? Evolution doesn't really tend to prepare creatures for being stabbed with forged steel. You can condition them to halve calmer behavior, but there's really not a lot of conscious acceptance of fate going on with our eatin' birds.
If there is then we should maybe consider the possibility we
shouldn't be eating them, given their ability to reason and make conscious choices regarding their inevitable fate.
