Never understood the whole nosebleed thing. When ever I see anything erotic blood does go somewhere but it sure as hell isn't out my nose. Hell it doesn't even leave my body.

It's a mixture of the idea sexual arousal increases blood pressure(leading to things such as blushing) and a convenient plot device that an author can use instead of displaying an erect/ejaculating penis.
