Would you even be allowed to take it to a convention? Even if it were dull it would still be quite pointy. Would look so much better than the shitty plastic or w/e crap a lot of people use

Most likely depends on the convention and the local laws on blades and replicas.

I probably would want one just for me though, that being said: I would want one that fired as well, because *** logic.

it can't fire . . .
that is disappointing, it's not like it would have been hard to pull off making it fully functional if the blade its self was thicker allowing for a barrel hole :(

putting a barrel inside the already too-thick blade is a pretty bad idea. the idea of a gunblade ever actually firing a projectile will never be reasonable, the most it can ever do with the "gun" part is provide additional trauma via percussion or vibrations, something that the standard gunblade design can't even do as it stands. it's just a fantasy sword made to look cool with a cool concept, not something that would ever reasonably work properly or that could ever be "reproduced" to actually fire a projectile or serve its actual purpose.

I still think it would work, and I like your idea for percussion rounds a lot, if the vibration was strong enough then maybe you could explode limbs off on contact o.0

So for amiibos, It seems like Marth has the worst quality of them all. Sword is flimsy and has very little detail at all. Scabbard is also flimsy and bent due to his cape.

Even Kirby is better built then Marth and he is just a pink blob.

Is there something idk about the Kraken fight in Satasha hard that you don't have to kill tentacles?

I'm always the only one attacking them and the melee dps are just standing there attacking the boss.

Only the arms matter since they summon a big AoE if they don't die fast, tentacles just do negligible damage and most groups ignore them to focus on kraken's annoyingly big hp pool.

Wish it was as neat as the lathe but this machine cuts very slow for maximum accuracy +/- .00005" if I need it :3

Also, first time ever making a gif from videos I've recorded. Never used video compression software before, is it normal for it to 100% cpu? lol
I can't believe imgur let you upload a 15.4mb gif like that lol

Why do you say that? Is it big for a .gif? Or shitty in some way?
I had to try it twice, cause the first time it was over 20mb and it converted into that stupid mp4 ***that cant link to the site.

Ohhh well in that case I have no idea. I'd be pissed if a group ignored arms, healing through that is terrible x_x.

Its explained in FFVIII that the gun doesn't actually fire bullets. The rounds used are actually duds. You pull the trigger it causes the blade to vibrate for more damage. Least that is what the game says.

If that isn't good enough for you then remember,

If that isn't good enough for you then remember,

The correct term is "blanks."

I would assume it's technically possible to make the blade a very long compensator. A compensator is a vent at the end of a pistol barrel that releases gas from the cartridge to push the end of gun down thus compensating for massive recoil, the S&W model 500 and Mateba Autorevolver often come with compensators for those wanting examples.

In a gunblade, this compensator would be used as a jet to drive the blade through a target. However, the ammo shown in the case in FFVIII look somewhere between a .45-70 Govt and a .700 Nitro Express. I have a .45-70 Govt pistol so I'd say this is your best candidate as a .700 NE would break your arm.

Again; however, .45-70 Govt is a low pressure round but the required bore diameter would make the blade thick and unwieldy.

I also forgot to mention, no projectile means no recoil (or very little if anything so the "barrel" would have to be ported with no bore, these ports would have to jet upwards, towards the tip of the blade to promote slicing rather than chopping. You'd basically be wielding a sword-shaped bomb.

You know, those guys also use magic and summon magical *** that erase their memories, they probably got no issues with massive recoils anyway.

There wouldn't be any recoil is what I'm saying, it doesn't make sense.

To be honest, I made some ***up for the Gunblade but take a look at Irvine's "rifle." There have been double-barrel rifles, but not really sawed off that short. Besides that it's said to have buttons that serve as an ammo selector. They'd have done better to just say he has a shotgun with slugs; an 11" barrel on a sawed-off shotgun can semi-accurately place slugs at roughly 14-15 yards; Irvine's appears to have 16"-17" barrels. I'm gonna call it a shotgun. That would explain the various ammo he uses in limit breaks.
