i was telling my co-worker today the fastest way to make people stronger (emotionally) is to put them in a room full of loud noise for couple hours then in complete serenity with wind and such, would work or no?
Being emotionally strong, or mentally strong, takes more than just an annoying experience. Being in a calming environment can help calm your mind, especially after stress, but that won't make you emotionally strong. Being emotionally strong is something you build up, for most people that is in childhood but for those who get teased / picked on / bullied / etc that shatters and creates a huge impact in development if not dealt with, especially if prolonged over the time of being a young adult where they are most vulnerable.
Even if you didn't have negative experiences like that you can be emotionally weak by not building yourself up for an extended period of time. There is no quick fix to being emotionally strong, though you can put on a mask and fool the world you still take the hits inside. You have to build yourself up and believe in yourself and take challenges in life head on instead of avoiding them. Keeping a positive outlook in life, engaging in healthy friendships and relationships, taking care of yourself and being able to forgive yourself if you make a mistake.
Having emotions isn't a weakness, and does not make you emotionally weak, but you can't keep them inside and let them build up. You have to learn how to relieve your stresses and emotions in a way that only you know how.
