So me and my old man are now at war with an old lady who always is at the diner we frequent.
Little history on it:
She is normally the first one at the diner.
She parks in the same spot and sits in the same spot every time.
She has her orders special made.
Me and my old man normally get to the cafe a few minutes before it opens and she is always there. So one morning we beat her to the cafe and parked in her spot. Just to see what would happen. She pulls up in our normal spot. We wait for the waitress to turn on the open light and unlock the door. Well this old lady, (we will call her Lee,) gets out of the car and speed walks to the door before the waitress even gets the light turned on.
After she finished eating we asked the waitress, (known as the General,) if Lee is really competitive. Her response was, "I've never seen her move so fast!"
This caused me to set sights on our next conquest. To park in her spot and take her normal seat.
This morning we arrived late but she hadn't shown up yet either. Her spot was taken by some random people. So we at least took her seat. About 10 minutes later she shows up with a group of people, (6 people her normal seat is a booth for 4 people.) So she wasn't even going to sit there today. We were sad. It was a hollow victory. ... Till we noticed Lee giving us the stink eye cause we were in her normal seat even though she wouldn't have sat there.
So feeling ok with what happened but not totally in glory mode we finish our meal and go to leave. We get into our car and noticed she is parked next to us.
One problem with that. The spot next to us is a Handicapped Spot. Lee is not Handicapped nor does she have any of the tags or the rear view mirror slip on.
My father who was feeling regretful over taking her spot that one time and sitting in her booth today did not take this well. The remorse is gone.
War has been declared. WE SHALL HAVE HER PARKING SPOT AND HER BOOTH!
