Downloaded an app to lock/unlock/sound horn on my car from anywhere and must not play with it. Must resist.
Nice to not have to ever worry about keys being locked in again by anyone lol
yeah, because that's not a security risk at all...
the app has a PIN number I chose to be accessed each time it's opened or used; Give the makers a bit more credit than none dork.
Don't have so much faith in the security of your technology dork, signals propagate and are easily stolen, unless the thing is somehow matching your cars rolling code (assuming it's that advanced) then you're pretty open.
Then again door openers of any kind are at risk for this kind of vulnerability, and it's most likely moot unless you're a target for somebody. But in this case your car may be since it is rather new, no?
I mean if it's advanced it will use a random number generator to go along with the rolling code, instead of a set simple pattern, but that's the thing about computers, there is no such thing as random.
But I digress and am going into way too much detail and just busting your balls. Just as a general rule though: most things that make your locks easier make them easier to bypass.
