What piece are you looking at anyway?
Was considering replacing my iPod 5 since it broke, but those are pretty expensive. That said, if I were to buy a cheap smartphone (there's one on craigslist for like 25 bucks), would I be able to use it (android OS) for apps and such? My iPod 2, which I use for music, doesn't go to the current iOS and is no longer supported, so pretty much no apps work.

You should be able to unless the phone is too old as well. AndroidOS uses a google account for the store and not your phone's service account. So as long as you have wifi it should work. There was also a squirrel with a cheese curl. That may have also been an appropriate image to use, as food and sleep are probably the only enjoyable things I can guarantee on my schedule until Friday.
Edit: Next week should be decent however. New season of Doctor Who debuts on Monday and I've got my next ink appointment on Thursday, for which I'm super-excited.  Just the grade 19s...!
