So this business I know of has done this thing twice now...

They had someone working for them who found work somewhere else and they put in their two-weeks notice. Both times, the day before the last day they were supposed to work, the boss had the second in command "let them go" (first person was straight up told Vince McMahon style YOU'RE FIRED, second person was told just not to come in for their last day).

Is it just me or do these people just seem to have some kind of problem with people quitting on them? Some kind of ego thing where they feel better being able to say they fired someone or let them go instead of having to say they quit?
