Most modern keys are made of brass because it is a softer metal thus it causes less wear & tear on the tumblers of locks and ignition switches.

Smithers: Uh, sir, we found the problem. Some idiot threw this in the reactor core.
Homer: [sees charred doughnut] Success!
Burns: You did this? How could you be so irresponsible?
Homer: Uh...it's my first day.
Burns: Since I've never seen you before, maybe it is your first day. Very well, carry on! [walks off]
Smithers: Sir, that's Homer Simpson. He's been working here for ten years.
Burns: Ohh, really? Why did you think you could lie to me?
Homer: It's my first day.
Burns: Well, why didn't you say-- Yawoo! You're fired!

These forums are kinda dead for FFXIV info.
Official forums are full of derps.
Posting for advice in the GW feed will just lead to 500 troll posts.

Actually Pleebo, Ina said you would probably be a good person to ask about SCH stuff.

I was watching this video...

YouTube Video Placeholder

For the life of me I can not figure out what the macros she is using are doing. Adlo, Physick, Eye for an Eye and Virus all have macro icons. On top of that the 2 and 3 macros I see her hitting towards the beginning and no clue what the eff they are doing.

I only recently started making user macros for my SCH, so far I pretty much just have one for Virus that auto casts on the focus target (when I remember to focus targets that is). I don't really know what kinda stuff would be better with macros or without tbh which is probably part of the reason I have no earthly idea what her macros are doing.

Oh, I've been meaning to watch that video. Going through it now and I'd guess that Embrace is being macroed with Adlo and Physick. Virus is likely a focus target macro with a party tell. E4E might be combined with a party tell as well.

Edit: No clue what those numbered macros are doing.

Anyway, I have a setup similar to her's except I don't palette swap since I have enough buttons using the newer trigger button hotbars. Adlo/Physick + Embrace macro
Code
/pac "Embrace" <t>
/ac "Physick" <t>

works well for most fights even though it leads to a lot of fairy overheals, but it's better than her just sitting there waiting for the target to cross the heal threshold. Requires that Eos be on Obey but she should always be set to that anyway. You can just swap those out for the regular spell when you need to micromanage Embrace (Leviathan EX, for instance).

Only other macro I have that I can remember is
Code
/ac "Swiftcast" <me>
/ac "Resurrection" <t>

Hit it once for normal Swiftcast, tap it twice while targeting a dead person for SC Raise. Oh, and the Virus one.

I just found this idea on reddit and tested it out a bit works pretty well.
Code
/macroicon "Bio II"
/ac "Bio II" <focus>
/ac "Bio II" <tt>
/ac "Bio II" <t>

If I have a focus target, they take priority. If not then my targets target is my target, if I am targetting a tank I don't have to scroll around to pick a target. Lastly if I have a manually selected target (and no focus target) it will target that one, so I *can* pick and choose if I need to.

Aside from the error messages when I don't have a focus target up it works great, and I can just turn those messages off if I want.

I also read one about the swift/rez combo where they suggested using mouse over instead of targets. Ever try that out? Harder to test that one, not a lot of people just randomly dying outside blue badger gate.

I play with lolcontroller so I don't use mouseovers, but they seem like the way to go with kb+mouse.

That DoT macro is pretty nice. I'll have to steal that. Oh and one more macro I forgot I use is a target of target Energy Drain one. Only problem is I forget I have Energy Drain 90% of the time.
