I figured it out! Why Naruko is hot in the MMD video; not only is her body a 10, her hairstyle is actually possible.

Drill hair is the worst thing ever created and authors need to stop using it
If I see it in an anime or manga I immediately want to stop watching/reading drill hair?
The power went out in my barracks, and instantly I hear through walls, "Oh no! ***!" From both rooms adjacent to mine lol

Actually I had a thing similar to drill hair once. It's obviously nothing like the anime drill hair but if you curl it right, it is technically the "real life" drill hair. If you google drill hair you get better examples of it, it's awful
