Watching Mighty Car Mods online. I think it's funny when they try to do a cheap car mod.

I will say doing this is fun but after doing several Civics, the older the car, the more dangerous things can get.

I had a complete brake failure on a '96 DX, thank god I was already slowing down at an intersection but still had to hit the curb to stop the vehicle. Completely forgot about all the ground and pound will ruin something eventually.

Did the engine swap, clutch, cross drilled rotors, new pads, new rims/tires, the little *** (short ram air, short shifter, cluster, etc.etc.) but never did the brake lines.

I know alot of people won't, but this comes to a number one priority with me now.
I had a 96 civic for awhile, thing was a piece of ***.

It was either a lx or dx, I forget which.

I had a problem with the floor wiring harness connecting to the main door harness, the connection broke, and I had to splice the whole thing together as it was on the floor harness side.

A few hours with a soldering iron and heat shrink later, and fully operable windows from not having them for over a year, luckily I didn't drive it much that year...

That's what happened to it :P

Is there a problem with avatars not showing up or loading? Been seeing it a few times on the pages..

What happened to the Honda?
Side swiped a fence, it drove pretty well after considering, didn't ever fully stop. I guess I probably could have fixed it, if the frame wasn't that bad from that (it shouldn't have been) but I didn't care, I was glad to get rid of the car.

Sold it for scrap.

Edit: I hadn't had any problem with the "avatars" loading.

I've had to fix power windows in both my Explorer and my F-150. Luckily, my Willys has no power windows...it doesn't even have doors.

For trucks, I prefer Ford. For Cars, you can do much more with a Chevy. I want a cruiser, I like first gen Mustangs "64 1/2"-66 and Falcons 60-65.

Willy's can be a good cruiser, just get a permit to have a replica browning on the back and you can scare all the soccer moms and idiots on the road! (assuming military willy's)

I just recently sold my '03 accord to my dad and bought a 2010. really like the car, big difference between the 4 cylinder and the v6. Gonna get a speeding ticket one of these days..

It has a 225 Buick V6 swapped in. We used to have the old Go-Devil in pieces but my cousin scrapped it in the 80's. I need to get a new tub and new sheet metal for it.

That V6 is what was sold to AMC-Jeep to be bored and modified into the Jeep Dauntless V6.

I'd really like a willy's but can't afford more vehicles to insure. Between the car and motorcycle, that's enough for me. D:

I inherited mine from my grandpa, it has always been a wreck that we used as a hunting wagon. Eventually, I want to restore it, my dad tells me it's "too far gone" but nah. I can fix it...I'll also put the spare rack in the right spot, God that annoys me.

Unless it's a disintegrated pile of dust, it aint too far gone to restore or remake.

Just gotta have the ambition and the pocket book.

Idk, it's working fine for me.

I really wish Scragg had some backup with site maintenance, but there's few to be trusted, and probably fewer with the actual skill set.

I want Admin for like...5 mins just to fix a problem with the mod toolbar. When viewing an active stickied thread, the tool bar reads "unstickylock | unmain". Drives me crazy. Lol

I wish Aureole would log on to fill in for Scragg but I don't even know if he's available. I know Jaerik and Cliff aren't. :/

Scragg's wife recently had a baby, Jaerik works for Disney's gaming department, Cliff develops software for space exploration, I think, Aureole, I'm not sure.

If I had the skill, I'd ask for permissions to fix problems, but it's not something I'd want permanently.
