If you haven't bought a new pair yet, two pairs I highly recommend are
Shure SHR440

The Shures get physically heavy after a while, but have exceptional sound quality (and a detachable/replaceable cable). And while the Sonys have good sound, they tend to be a bit on the bright side.
While I have never used the 518's from Sennheiser, the HD380 are a much better investment per sound quality than the 280s for like and extra $40.
