Well hope you manage to fix it.
Has sony offered any advice or offers to help un-brick it?
about to start up a forum topic about it, hoping they can offer some suggestions, my main concern right now is getting his Black Ops out of the system so he can still hang on to it in case he does have to ship it in to be serviced.
I'd replace the hard drive but I think they've succesfully engineered a screw that will not budge (I think they superglued the damn thing in lol)

Unless it's the first one to remove the hard drive, use pliers or you'll destroy the screw. It's really soft metal so if you use a screwdriver you won't be able to screw it back on.

can pliers even grip that low?
I'll go give that a try in a bit if I don't get anything out of the help.
I'm trying to save the hard drive if I can since i'd be downgrading to a smaller hard drive if I swapped them out :/
Be careful with that one so you don't rip the plastic-y stuff on it. I think you need to push it in while you turn it to loosen it
yeah even with pushing down and turning it just won't budge, so I either need to be superman or start tossing the thing against the wall lol.
if anything that stripped the screw more, which is making it even harder lol, which is why i'm hoping there is a fix that doesn't require me to replace this ungodly snug thing in there.
Also, as people already stated, public transportation is only really feasible/effective in cities. The United States has much more land to cover than anywhere in Europe.
Makes me think of our defunct railway system though. :( Government really puting the nails in that coffin too(for quite some time now). Such is life though. Would love for there to be an awesome Maglev from coast to coast(complications of that scale aside), or at the very least a train that didn't cost the railway more money each time someone purchased a ticket @,@. Navy stuff time!
last time i rode a train anywhere it ran over a person mid transit and they had to stop the train to do an investigation and made us ride a greyhound bus on thanksgiving
"Well there ain't no rest for the wicked, and money don't grow on trees..." Truer words have never been spoken or, in this case, sung. Never thought of myself as being "wicked" before but I haven't had good, restful, rest (as in, I haven't slept more then 2hrs in every 48hr period) in 6 months so I think It's about time I reevaluated myself...All I have to say about money not growing on trees is...FML. >.<

But isn't money mostly paper, which comes from trees, so tech- it does grow *from* trees? :D idk, 6AM no coffee and these donuts are so good. D:

Surely every city has it's own public transport system? Inter-city transport is another matter altogether, and I'm sure most countries, especially larger ones (geographically) deal with it with buses. You're right about Europe winning that one though, such a high population density over the entire area makes trains so much more feasible.

This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
