Missable how? You got a ! whenever you ran around in a room and a chest was there. You'd only miss if you didn't check and that's not really their fault >_> I don't think I ever missed a chest in the game
Yea, at least 9 told you that something of interest was in front of you instead of hidden items where you had to spam check every surface just to clear out a room for sure, and even then you'd probably miss hidden hallways that would be hiding a chest.
My only question is when did missable loot become an issue? I always thought that was just part of games, sometimes ***is kind of handed to you and other times there's a chance you'll miss it. In other words, pretty much like life.
Watching a video from FFIX of Beatrix hacked into party vs. Kuja and I had an idea, more of a why and why not.
Final Fantasy IX 3D: Basically a 3DS remake. Story would pretty much be the same, only thing I'd like to see is the ability to add Beatrix to the party as something of an easter egg. I'll explain why she was a good candidate in the PSX version in a sec.
Firstly.. Street Pass; Tetra Master and the Chocographs from the PSX version could be modified into a Daily Net Update like in Bravely Default and Street Pass-compatible mechanics. SE could also add new equipment to be acquired, if you own the art book you know that there are 1-2 unused weapon designs per character....ok maybe just Zidane and Dagger.. Still.
Costumes; Come on, I know someone out there wants to see Zidane dressed in traditional Genome garb. :D
Beatrix; Ok, Beatrix always seemed like she could pull off an optional/secret character status. Why? Well, mainly because her sword, Save the Queen, had a hidden modifier which basically made the sword's physical attack damage level up as she does, I'm not sure why it does this since you only briefly have control of her and she nearly always leaves the party at lv 26.
Basically, I'm at a standstill on fixing my truck till my part gets here so I'm thinking about these things. Anyone have any ideas to add? Entertain me.
Only had a few qualms with FFIX
1. Jump Rope minigame, I'm not JP, *** you Square.
2. no new-game+, basically making the quest of getting Excalibur 2 pointless.
I'd also like closure like what happens to Vivi and Kuja. There was a bit of uncertainty with Kuja that some argued he could've actually lived long past the end of the game. Garland basically told him his life was limited and that he was mortal, but Kuja was 24 during FFIX and Garland simply said he'd die "soon." How soon soon is is debatable when it comes from an immortal Genome or the bio-android Garland whose lives revolve around waiting. Personally, I'd like to think Kuja turned over a new leaf, accepted his mortality and returned to Treno to live out his days as "King." =/

Missable, meaning you only have one shot to get them.

The Zorlin Shape... I think I only remember to get it in one or two playthroughs... Not really needed anyway.

It's an unnecessary annoyance.
Especially in a game where you get a reward for how many chests you open.

Kuja as a Treno Nobleman
One of the few times where I'd probably cheat and just start a new game, and hex edit in the items I had from the last one, and the levels. But it's such a pain. There is a save editor but I can't recall the name of it, I know I had it, cuz I saw it the other day when I was moving data around to my array.

I got bored and hacked the hell out of FFIX a long time ago. Kinda funny to see Zidane, Markus, Cinna, and Blank vs. Ozma. >.>
I love that you can miss loot, but I hate finding out that I did :<
I hate it only when it's unfair, like in FF7 (backtracking to the Fort Condor in the time frame from get on the dolphin in Junon to jump once with it.)

x.x I'm starting to find other gamers weirder and weirder the more I learn about them.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
