The water thing is deffinetly a part of vampire lore... keep in mind when these things were written people would not have known there was water in the air and what not. They would have just know of it in it's liquid and solid state. and Drac pointed out the running water bit which would explain it as well.

I hate when things like allergies to silver and sunlight or super-human strength aren't explained.. I like it when writers/directors and whoever else go out of their way to apply a scientific reasoning to the supernatural in entertainment media..

I definitely enjoy things more when they aren't along the lines of, "Just because!" but then again, I like it even more when there's that one thing nobody can explain/that stumps the guy who came up with all the explanations. At least when it isn't poorly done. @.@ Definitely hate it when it's like, "And then the smart guy stopped being smart... JUST BECAUSE!"

Every time I go somewhere dry, like on a road trip or w/e, my throat gets dry and I end up sick... Not sure why the two are interconnected, but they are.

I'm pissed that 20 members of Seal team 6 are KIA. 31 Servicemen including those 20 have made the ultimate sacrifice.. It pisses me off sering the best of the best cut down by some shitty soviet-cold war era RPG. CH-47 Chinook was taken down today..
It sucks not everyone will get to know their names as to protect the families of those who killed Osama.

I imagine the bad guys are jumping with joy right about now.. No doubt saying their god stuck out in vengeance or some ***.

I watched a documentary on it once, been awhile, but I believe they basically said that sleep is when the mind is given a rest, that useful information is saved for later use, and the irrelevant stuff is discarded.
Also, try staying up for 72 hours, and see how useless of a person you are.. Minus the tiredness just 24 hours your performance is severely degraded.. I'm not really sure, on a scientific level, why it's needed, but I know it is..

Random Thought.. I'm so tired of sex scenes in every movie.. I have no problem with it really, but if I wanted to see sex, I'd watch porn.. Just get on with the damned movie already, it almost never plays any real role in the movie.. The movie would be the same if you cut it out..

Agreed. Unless I'm watching a love story or something... I don't want any deep love connections going on. Especially in like action thrillers and stuff...
