Step 1: Right click > Undo Delete.
Step 2: Check all folders in the vicinity for an accidental drag and drop.
If not anywhere, you're screwed.
Well ok here is where the weirdness ensues... I was in Adobe bridge copying my new files to my external BACKUP drive (about 300 new pictures but ... that's not the point...) at the end of it it gave me some error that the file in J: could not be found, then it was gone... like it never existed... I never deleted it, I never really touched it unless I really had to get to a picture.
Checked my trash bin and it's not there, checked my desktop ... same ... checked everywhere via a search and the only file found was on my SD card (an old backup)
I'm running that deep scan with a recovery program... it'll get done in like 3 hours... after that's done and hopefully I have my pictures back I think i'm going to do a fresh install of windows ... cause that for some reason has been derping up ... or at least it started to the other day for no reason.
