If you're looking for the style, what you need to do is make a long line of dough (like making a snake with play-doh). Then, take each end in hand and let the middle form a U shape. Then, set the loop part down (keeping ends in hand), and twist the two ends around themselves twice before setting them down onto the loop part of the dough again. A little adjustment, and you should have your typical tie formation.
Now, if you want the texture, for tradition's sake you're going to need to get your hands on some lye (something I do NOT recommend, unless you've worked with it before and know what to do). My tummy is full of oreos and milk.

i can cook just about anything, but i have no patience for baking. i can't time it right at all. it's always burnt on the outside undercooked on the middle. mushy, or something else. anything on a stove or grill i can handle.

Just ignore Drew Carey. That show's all about Ryan Stiles and Colin Mocherie, anyway.

A friend of mine posted a pic of the sky last night, the sunset made the whole sky turn a really vivid orange colour. She said "sky is blowing my mind!". I was like yep, that's pretty cool, but the first comment she got on the photo was "have you seen it, amazing..." I face palmed pretty damn hard.
