Oh yeah, I won't be buying it after my issues with 590 drivers, buttttttttttttt doesn't mena it's not a viable option for someone looking.

I also wont be doing an intel processor simply because as for gaming I'll never max out even a top line amd processor before I upgrade in 3-5 years of building it. Just smarter to save on teh cpu and do a stronger GPU set up.

No, I decided that a couple years ago TBH. Nvidia's drivers and support these past 3 years have been piss poor while AMD is only slightly behind on power but better optimized on most games with better drivers.

Intel is better...for benchmarking.
No modern CPU is gonna cause bottleneck while gaming nor will it noticeably boost your performance(maybe2-5 fsp....when you'd already be around 80+) if you have an adequate GPU. You should know that quiz.

I know that.Nothing (games) pushes my 2600k over 50%,ever. Its all down to the person and their value on w/e card they buy vs the game too

Yep. And since I don't bench my PC I see no point in spending $200 extra on an intel mobo with the same options as an AMD mobo and an extra $150-300 on a CPU that I'll never utilize. My next rig is purely for gaming, no benching.

Edit: And the best performance for your dollar rigs are AMD IMO.
Can get a strong FX-8 and two 7970's for a pretty good price on a nice MOBO.

doubt i'll be looking at making a NEW pc altogether, just building around what motherboard, and CPU I have... seems silly to scrap something I just got.

I can build on what I have to make it better.

You're on sandy bridge so yeah you could build around that easily. Just go to about an 850w high effiency psu and you could support a sli/xfire platform for triple monitors.

sounds reasonable.

No problem. Quiz and I will both be around.

Albeit quiz will be disappointed in the fact that I've opted to do a cheaper rig thats meant purely for gaming but I think it fits myself(and most posters here) better rather than an all out monster do it all rig.

You should know regardless quiz I'd make a rig capable of handling every game exceptionally well....I just wont be going all out the same way I did with this one more cost effective this time xD

I've still only ever found 2 games that make the 2nd card worth it so far. I know that will likely change next year with the advent of actual next gen games (short of the handful on pc that arent just console ports/upgrades console ports) so at least I'm ready for them :)
