Big difference :P That would have her 660 blown up long time ago! my laptop runs hot after a little while on XIV on (mostly) standard settings, got about a 1500 on the Benchmark. I think it also has something to do with the amount of dust I can't get to inside. Hopefully it doesn't hinder it too much

Rift with triple monitors gets hotter than XIV. 660ti(not 660, there is a noticeable performance jump and you've been saying the weaker card) is more than capable of supporting 1 monitor on 1920x1080 on max or nearly maxed settings. The problem was that it was on the default fan speed, not the load on the card.

I'd like to get a second monitor, but ... I need to find a GPU that offers x2 HDMI output ... this one only has 1 ... and i'm looking at getting another of these monitors I have now.

i'd LIKE to play games with multi monitors, but i'd actually... not really know where to start ... or know if I have a good base to start on ... (my GPU is probably gonna be the weakest link... maybe...) case I know is good enough know,
in fact I think it just boils down to my GPU. (it's a 750w I believe.) Just cant wait for SLI support in retail XIV @_@

Spending 70% of the money and then another 60% of the original cost just to see a marginal upgrade that is still probably worse than if I had went full on originally.
