So just because someone uses an unethical method, his findings aren't credible? I disagree.
Nazi experimentation, like Magnus pointed out, shows that isn't necessarily true. But unethical methods in today's world would not be seen as credible even if everything else was perfectly sound.

Well your original post was pretty broad. I see that you're specifically referring to our basic respect for life, and yeah, if we didn't give a ***about that we'd probably be able to build our own humans from scratch by now. But I would argue that we couldn't just ignore that specific part of ethics without seriously compromising the entire scientific philosophy as a whole.
