It's easy to be defensive when you've lost a family member to war, or a friend, or know someone who has lost a family member or friend. Unfortunately, America is so war-riddled that almost all of us do know someone who's been lost.
Unrealistic wish of the day: I wish when my generation had children, those children could live in such peace that they could ask us, with utter confusion, what war was.
