Morning, everyone.
How are you all today?
Morning ^^
I'm mildly concerned actually. We've been keeping an eye on real estate, just so we have a good idea of what to look for when the time comes. I had 9 houses for sale that I liked picked out to keep an eye on. Well, we drove around last night to all of them, and I rejected every single one. I had picked them in the first place! One was right next door to a humongous LDS church. Rejected based on location-- nothing wrong with Mormons, but I have enough trouble with them showing up on my doorstep without deliberately moving to their neighborhood. One was right next door to a house that had buckettons of kids. Kids sprouting from windows! Kids scampering all over the street! Kids chasing each other around the front yard with baseball bats! Rejected based on too darned many kids. I know I'll never get away from kids completely, but when the next door neighbor has 46 of them under the age of 15, I don't think I want to move there intentionally. D: I can just imagine how annoyed I'd be at my dogs every single day because they'd be out there barking at kids climbing the fences.
Three were in the same neighborhood as the child-overload house, and everyone there seemed to have lots of kids. As someone who doesn't plan to have a child, moving into Child Central without one would be a tad awkward.
The other four were all way on the other side of town, so we'd have been having a half-hour commute to work every day through rush hour traffic. All rejected based on location. :-(
And so I am concerned that I might be entirely too picky when it comes to choosing a forever home.
Anyways. Happy Memorial Day to any of you who are vets or active service members! I hope everyone has a good day. ^^
