It boils down to long distance relationships just being difficult to begin with, and overall tend not to work in the end. Not saying that it wont work, it just takes a lot more effort to do so. The relationships I had locally ended the same way. Chances are they were just looking for sex and not anything real. Different people have different view on sex, two people can be looking for something serious and still jump into bed with out it dooming their relationship.

I still think it boils down to the maturity of the parties. At some point(hopefully, albeit not all guys ever understand this) people realize that sex is just a part of a relationship and not this OMG WTF achievement. But being serious and saying things like that ruin my jokes so yeah.

No, I just have a combination of horrible luck, and bad decision making skills.
Stereotypical girl pushing away safe choices, and going after riskier ones.
I also have two issues, im incredbily impulsive, and also really emotionally walled-off because of failed relationships. So when I actually feel for someone, i go all out and usually get screwed over, and then when a nice guy comes around im so emotionally numb and i cant find it in myself to truly care.
Yay feels.
Too bad i can't eat ice cream to make it all better.

Sex early on isn't always a bad thing, and doesn't always ruin a relationship.
In my case, before we were even dating, my girlfriend and I had sex. We went into it knowing that it wasn't expected to turn into anything (I'll leave out the reasoning as to why <_<).
That was over eight months ago. Not "forever" by any means, but considering it wasn't supposed to go anywhere, it's something.
I kind of want to quote The 40 Year Old Virgin.
But I'm not saying Spath made the wrong choice, either. It went the way he wanted it to go, and no one can really tell him he should have done any different.

damn diets :| To be fair aren't you still in/just out of high school? 99% of relationships in that age are destined to fail, males naturally take longer to mature than females so that would be part of the problem if that is the case. There is often the case where 1 or both parties don't really know what they want since puberty is fun that way. I know of 2 couples from high school that have stayed together and 1 of those couples the reason they have done so is because one of the most important things for both of them is to *** like rabbits.
If nothing else be glad that you had the chance to explore and will be more experienced in the future, all I got was straight out rejected and laughed at when i asked people out XD

You don't know their maturity level, mental stability, familial ties, etc., and they're all important factors. If these variables play into your favor, hey, it worked! If they don't, and more often than not, they won't, you're going to get run through the ringer.
