I'm pretty sure I'm one of, if not the most disliked person at my level of management at work, even before this little thing happened.

Haha. Thanks. But I really don't feel bad.

I plan to explain to her why I brought up her post the next time I see her at work. Because obviously, it went over the head of whoever was in the room that told her about it.

But in the last year or so, I've learned to better separate my job from my personal feelings, and it's overall made my work life much easier and less stressful. I don't care what they think of me on a personal level because, whether they understand it or not, I'm doing what I'm doing because it's my job, regardless of whether or not I like them as individuals.

One of the people who likes me the most is someone who has worked directly for me, because unlike a lot of others, he's seen me work and understands that while I can be serious about my job itself, I'm not a serious person and I have a sense of humor when given the opportunity to use it.

Oh you can't feel bad! It was actually quite a nice day. I panicked a bit getting all 35 boards done, but I actually finished them 10 minutes before closing time. Boo-yah! (We don't have the parts to start the next 265, so I'll panic about those when the time comes. ^^)

And the flooded yard was fixed in no time, apparently our landlords are supposed to have someone come blow water out of the pipes every fall before the irrigation is shut off, but they didn't so it so the water in the pipes froze and *wham-bam-thank you ma'am-kerblooie* flood time! But it was apparently an easy fix.

While the water fixer people were here, Pixel somehow got out the front door which would usually mean we would end up chasing her through the entire neighborhood and into streets all the while being terrified that we'd lose her or she'd get hit by a car because she has absolutely no brains or sense of self-preservation (kids these days!) but she ran out and got down to the car, my husband bellowed at her, and she turned around and came back. O.O I've never, not once, seen her turn around and come back when she got loose! She got a big arse treat for that!

And Dante is such a good guard dog. ^^ He was rapid-fire barking the whole time the water fixer people were in his territory, quite upset. I like it. They were supposed to be here of course, but it makes me feel somewhat more secure that if someone was here who was not supposed to be, he'd be all over it like white on rice on a paper plate in the middle of a snowstorm! :D

Also, wine. ^^ Wild Vines Strawberry White Zinfandel. Get some! You won't regret it!
