But this is how SE makes money. Make the drop rate insanely low so that you have absolute ***luck trying to obtain the item, then you spend days and days and hours upon hours trying to get said item. Thus ensuring you are hooked for at least long enough for them to get a few more subscription fee's out of you. Then if you get frustrated and burnt out, suddenly here is mog bonanza or a new expansion! It's all a very well planned out diabolical sceme to make as much money as possible from a 10 year old MMO. Genius. Evil, but still genius
1/10 Toci's when it first came out.....then 2/14 :x 1/11 and 2/12 heka's body 1/103 kaggen body...... Cant remember my 3rd toci,but the 2nd one was before you could cell it >_< same with heka's,back in the day
Yes, some people still get all the luck. However, you cannot deny that there would be TONS more people with the armor's and pulse weapons if they had made the drops go to a pool instead of individual boxes. That one move alone is the reason why so many do not have the armor after doing it so many times. And the solution SE came up with, 5 cells for 1 armor, is a little on the HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE side.
Yeah its quite bollocks alight. I tend to quote luck of the irish for my VW stuff. I farmed 185 plates with ease back then,hell one qilin run i went 4/6 on HMP pouches.I've got almost everything I want from VW.There's only 1 piece of gear I can think of I actually want to use. Some for lolmightaswellcollect it and other than that I really just farm VW now for HMP (for me)/cells (for gil)/cinder (for gil)/dross (for me)
I'm pretty fed up with Pil, but dropping 15M for the toci's is out of the question. >_<
I feel the same way about Akvan, 0/1000+ I gave up counting long ago. I want a Heka`s but I'm not buying cells because to me that's like paying someone for getting luckier than me.
I have the NQ body, which I bought ages ago and it's served me well since Akvan likes being a ***, it's proved to be a worthy investment.
I have different bullets macro'd in too, and I do check my ammo, but there are times when I just get trigger happy and that's usually when it goes boom.

I've never been able to justify buying AAA priced ticket items. Even with how easy it is to farm/make gil.
I've only bought a few things since I got back to the game. One or two cheap (50k max) AH'able pieces for CDC to replace a few better things I lost. I bought a forban cape for 1mil (which kinda stung,because I bought mine for 30k @ the 80 cap before there was armgeddon) and a thundersoul ring for 300k. Other than that I cant think of anything expensive I bought,just been buying bullets/cards/o bronze
I always cringe when people crowd port jeuno whenever they afk each day, just begging people to notice them almost. No bazaar or anything to rationalize "well I was just trying to sell stuff" so I try to avoid afking there unless I'm in mog.
Thats about the only thing I like about GW,shouts. I dont like afk'ing in jeuno (or at all for that matter)but if I have to,I'll do it in my MH since now I can see the shouts even in there,via my phone or chrome. That way I can get back to the game quickly and not lose a spot logging in
I never understood the justification of "town gear". I wore in town whatever I would wear out in the field. Honestly, if you have items in your inventory only to make yourself look pretty and have no use in the game, why not just drop it/sell it and free up your inventory?

^ My only true cosmetic gear I keep because its rare/ex and you cant get it anymore. And even then its only 2 inventory spaces,and its extremely rare I take it outta my MH
(not including dinner sets,decinnieal sets or w/e its called)
