to tell you the truth, it's a lot more cost effective, and easier than using hijackthis...
I do it all the time for people, typically because it's faster to start from scratch, especially when they have a bunch of bloatware etc, but then again: I haven't been doing much for people lately, I should start up again.
edit: don't get me wrong, not trying to defend best buy, when I wipe a drive and reinstall I don't make them pay for the restore disk and keep it, I actually go through the trouble of downloading their drivers and do a clean install.
