I don't judge people for wanting or having children and I don't pay much attention to those who make accusations as to why I don't have them myself.

I'm not saying having children is bad.. don't think that's what Bailiegrace was trying to say either, but shouldn't it be the choice of the individual person if they want children or not? I know i wouldn't make a good mother, i honestly wish more people would think about it before they have children.

Yeah I agree with this... I can't believe someone just referred to you as "one of those people" lmao. To be honest, I can't see myself having kids either. There's too much I want to accomplish in my own life, and if I ever did consider a family, I'd be the adopting type.

I'm glad it's proving difficult, because you are a perfectly fine gent which means that it's not difficult for lack of women. It's difficult because you are picky. And when choosing a life mate, you SHOULD be picky. ^^

I'm slightly skeptical that my own kids won't drive me nuts too, and sometimes I wonder if I'm ready. I like the thought of being pregnant, I hate the thought of labor. I like the thought of a newborn, I hate the thought of anyone 2 years and older. And I'm happy how I am, I don't yearn for a child.

In fact, the main reason that I am now interested in children is because my husband's grandmother loved kids and wanted so badly to have great-grandchildren, and she was killed before she got that chance. So now I'm more worried about "how many more people who I love are going to die before they meet my kids because I'm stalling" than "I want kids." And frankly, to be honest, it's a bad reason for me to want kids.

Well, we'll see, I'm concerned that if I stall too long I'll be too old by the time I decide. hard decisions are hard!

As much as Heado says she hates people, she's admitted once that I can think of, that she has a soft spot for some kids. I think it was around Christmas this year or last year when we were talking about buying gifts for kids. She was tinkering with the idea of buying a few odds and ends for a few kids. Maybe that's where she finds her fulfillment in regards to the kiddos, and that's fine.

I've been goofing off with Heado for a year or so (well, a lot less lately), but she's never given me any indication that she would not be capable if she actually wanted to have a kid.

I do agree with you that sometimes it clicks a little later. Guess who said she didn't want to have kids when she was doing the hippy-dippy thing while hanging out with a trustafarian clan in college?
