Windows 7 Issues!!

I log in to playonline fine, and i can choose my char, but in the "downloading data" screen i keep getting "A progam has stopped playonline from working properly. close progam" and ffxi and POL is closed. I never had this problem before. It started when i tried to zone into eron_s through the maw and then everything closes and i cant get back on.

Ive reinstalled FFXI, POL multiple times.
I got FFXI from paritebay (will post url soon)

I did a file check on FFXI (playonline didnt have files missing)and im missing 395 files last time i checked. Did a file repair and nothing changed. It seem like im missing a lot of stuff out of the folder labeled "ROM 5".

I assume i need to reinstall WotG but where can i get that? (TORRENT D:)

Download the patch from playonline.com?

If the patch is just downloading playonline from playonline.com then yes, but if there is a seperate link for this patch then no.

Do you have a friend that could sign you in and move you out of East Ronfaure? I'm thinking you're right and you have to reinstall WotG (The big living maw is most likely the reason you keep crashing, missing the files for it), but if a friend signing in for two minutes to move you would show for sure, it would save a lot of time.

Thats what im thinking but idk someone irl who plays anymore D: so if i give my i.d to someone i won't be able to touch them if they decide to keep my char D:

I wouldn't mind doing it for you but you probably don't trust some random person you met 5 minutes ago.

More than likely what it seems happened is your POL is tricking itself into thinking WOTG is installed properly when it's actually not.

The game starts to download the data and realizes something is missing and crashes. Having someone move your character back out of the maw would indeed work until you locate a WOTG torrent and give that a shot.

I ran into this problem myself a long time ago and i logged on my wife's laptop to fix it temporarily.

Only has 3 seeds and 1 leech (could be you by now) so I'm unsure how long it will take.

Make sure you do a file check after installing that as well just to make sure everything is in order.

lol actually i was downloading another torrent BUT this one looks like it going much faster. tytyty

Hey i downloaded the link but when i try to open it windows disc image burner pops up and i cant install it. (i use vuze btw)

This is the torrent I personally uploaded a while back. Just set it to download Inst5 (which is WotG) folder only. It's not an ISO so it doesn't require mounting or anything.

I didn't realize how dead it was. I'm going to set both my desktops as seeds.

Edit: Desktops are seeding now. My laptop might be seeding, too. It was actually downloading from my desktop because I left it open on accident.

try older video drivers. i had same issue with me 240gt

It is probably a video driver problem..I recently went through the same thing..changed the drivers and prob solved =D GL!

If his viewer told him he was missing 395 files i honestly don't see video drivers being the issue just yet lol.

I had to downgrade the drivers on my wifes laptop though so that could be the next step if it still crashes.

But most likely when the game tries to load those missing files for that zone it'll crash every time. This not happening until he tries to zone into a maw kind of backs my theory a little.

Either case Krizz's torrents i recommend 100%. One stop shop.

Oh hahaha yeah if he is missing that much files then...yes LOL if you are missing any .DAT SE made it so the game crashes >.< I remember learning that back in the DA days of removing Darter .dats :X
