1. Stick to a job and play it through. Just because that guy you saw looked "cool" doesn't mean you'll have fun playing that job.

2. You know how everyone says "You play that game too much, you should hang out with your friends"? Ignore them. Those friends end up abandoning you anyway.

3. Load up on Forban Capes.

1. Keep all the beastmen seals you get!

2. Don't return anything you bought for 1/4th of it's intended price people are jerks and won't ever thank you for it.
3.Load up on a lot of music.... as much as you can get because leveling anything but war/sam/whm take forever to get a party.

1.) Don't listen to anyone regarding which race applies to which jobs.

2.) Level BST quickly and MPK the hell out of RMT while you can, you will be loved. The Kraken in Qufim works great on those XioaA XioaB XioaC XioaD XiaoE parties! Become the king or queen of Crawlers Nest and GC, protecting the innocent from bands of RMT alliances. Pat yourself on the back when you hear your first and last feeling of appreciation from JP players when they say, (/welcome) (Beastmaster). Cry when they fix it.

3.) Avoid the almost irresistible temptation of disrupting a wedding ceremony by /shouting "IM DA BABY'S DADDY!" and doing /em falls in the cake emotes. You will have to repurchase the game.

1.Level WAR and MNK first

2.When an expansion comes out, get involved RIGHT AWAY and sell all that new expensive stuff you see flooding the AH, it's easier to get than you think.

3. Don't get involved with your friends in-game gf. Just don't.

(I started back in '06)

1. Buy a better PC. Playing from your couch with your XBOX controller isn't worth it. Period.

2. Craft your a$$ off. Also, sign sh*t because good friends hold onto it for years and show you that HQ Royal Cloak even when its useless after 4 expansions.

3. Get an alt account and level whm. NOW. You're welcome.

1. Don't spend half of your 7-8 year career chatting it up, and spending all your time doing nothing. Level damn it.

2. Learn macros, TP and WS gear sets. Lazy isn't a good excuse.

3. Don't change much else, a lot of the experiences will shape who you are in the future, including real life. And even though it means nothing to some people, Honor and Pride will always mean something to yourself.

1. Stop looking at other jobs and just pick WHM, that's all you'll ever be really.

2. In a few weeks you'll see Leaping Lizzy and get the drop, don't sell them for 200k.

3. Also when you purchase your Noble's Tunic for 14,600,000 gil... sell it for 20 mil... and not hold onto it until it get's down to 200k years later.

1) don't toss beastmen seals. they aren't useless. don't listen to the retard who told you they were useless (think the first 2 months I played, I tossed all of them).

2) don't sell retrace and tele scrolls! just cause you haven't leveled whm high enough or blm doesn't mean you wont one day...

3) don't bother leveling pld or gearing it. no ooe will let you play it anyways since you have a vagina and it will stop being useful one day.

1) Don't drop those beastmen/kindred seals you'll be getting for the next four months. Trust me, you'll find out what they're for by then...

2) While you do think you're cool going around RDM/NIN in parties, you'll never melee when you get to Lv75 cap content. Just stick to healing/nuking.

3) Actually, *** RDM all together since its never used for anything outside of Chainspell Stunning Arch Dynamis Lord. Just stick to DRG and get yerself a Mythic. What's a Mythic you say?

1)Don't just 'leech' your xp, actualy hit/cast something.God knows how long you will have to spend in skill up parties later to get it where it should be.

2)Sell all your crystals on the ah and seemingly worthless crap because there's a ton of it and it mounts up.

3)Ignore elitist *** and just enjoy the game. It's agame after all.

I still remember my first day with the game trying to earn money, completing my first quest and getting only like 100gil, and then fighting for like 3 hours to get Crystals, and then NPCing them (not realizing I could get way more money for them at the AH).

1: Buy every last alexandrite you see for 2-3k. I don't care if you're broke, just do it!
2: Start playing on PC right from the get go. It's cheaper than both console alternatives and better!
3: Level fishing, get ebisu(s), know that a magical money fish will appear that makes you millions a day soon enough.

1. Use sneak oil first THAN invisible powder so you don't waste half of your invisible powder wondering why you're still not invisible Gustav Tunnel( I ****ing hate that place).

2. Don't Lv Up just one job. 'cause on events, LS members are gonna start hating you for it.

3. If you ever think about quitting, don't sell your stuff... just take a break. Even though you're better off not wasting a lot of years playing this game.
