I did this! Running from what I called at the time "crazy ninja birds"

1: You can sell ***to the npc at outposts when you are leveling lowbie jobs.

2: Don't take a 14 month break starting a month before Chains of Promathia was released ***. You'll be stuck doing the missions with the rejects who couldn't get in a group while you took your break.

3: Do your assaults when they are released instead of still catching up on Promies with the rejects from the land of forgotten toys....

PS: Make macro's before your 1st attempt at Maat as an Elvaan Rdm.

Go to bed... the bronze subligar set from the shop doesn't warrant an all-night-turtle-kill-fest.

Also, stop tossing those seals so you can fit in more wild onions...

1) The NPCs cannot help you kill that orc that was chasing you.

2) Don't level Smithing. It's still at 30 after six years.

Played since PS2 release. Lvl thf asap to 50, spend the next year killing and hoarding O kote for the great RMT christimas > make 900mil gil, quit for 4 years > profit

1. don't spend 6 *** years to level up one job, get on the ball with that ***.

2. green texts means NPC, don't try to talk to them like they're a player, you'll just look dumb.

3. farm beastman blood, ***was a goldmine before the nerf for low levels.

4. it is NOT ok to wear a full set of level 1 bronze armor at level 13 in the dunes, you will be laughed at, and you will be kicked.

5. macros with /p are not cool, neither are macros that have texted without a set chatmode.

upon the very first time loading the game a friend got you for Christmas of 2003 with excitement and entering your mog-house for the first time. while exiting you are chatting furiously to your friend and fail to see the set your home job here message. You panic and tell him "OMG I broke it I do not know what to do!" - "Call a GM!" (5 mins later) - GM: "adventurer "Candyapple" please select "yes" or "no" to set your home point and click the enter button."

My character's first day... I'd tell him not to sell all the tele and warp scrolls after questing them

My friend Stacca actual called him for me, he is RL friend of like 17 years now

1. Don't sub mnk to whm and tell the party that you sub mnk just to hit things better. (ahh noob days, they were awesome lolol)

2. Don't join a linkshell called holyrollers, it'll lead to an even worse of a linkshell later.

3. Don't EVER get married in the game. You'll find out a year later that the guy you married lied to everyone about who they really were and ends up being a girl in real life, and you like a dumbass will sell your account thinking you'll never come back. Jokes on you, started all over again and lost your name to the person who still on the server with your old account (._.)

i use to think the only way to heal hp back was to enter the mog house or use potions and i didin't learn about parties till 23... so yeah (i was a hume war when i started)

1. equip your weapon so i don't look like a total noob, one handed punching bees in s. gustaberg on rdm. >.<

2. search the internet more often for help on what to do! i don't know how many hours i wasted just walking around looking at all the "pretty" graphics! lol

3. play on PC sooner!! i doubt i'd actually do this one tho, i loved my PS2 lol.

4. Spend more time crafting and stick with it! that's where the money is.

1. Staying in that linkshell with high leveled players (when high leveled back then was considered lvl38-40 lol) WAS A GOOD IDEA. You shouldn't have left it even though you felt self conscious just starting out..you will need all that help of those "high levels" later. You pretty much rage-quitted at 24 when you couldn't find anybody to help you get kazaam keys...you didn't know it but you would need lots of help later on getting your AF in the future T_T

2. crafting was profitable 9 years ago. You probably should have done that instead of leveling because you would always be broke.

1) Don't level woodworking so you can make your own staves and wands to smack things in Ronf.. There are better ways to make/save money.

2) The outpost isn't homefree. Even if you make it there, those jerk NPCs will just watch while that DC orc beats you senseless.

1. Pretend to be best friends with your first Dynamis LS leader and get priority for a relic. Better yet, pretend to be a girl who likes him and you'll get a relic and mythic. Leave LS, do it to the next one you join. Rinse and repeat until you have 5 of them even though you are WHM RDM BLM only.

2. One day your first Sky LS leader will quit and ask you to help transfer all the gil in the bank from his account, to the next leaders account because he wasn't online yet. Keep it for yourself because the next leader will if you don't.

Step 1. Buy all the Cheap things that were expensive back then.

Step 2. Play the Song of time and warp back in time.

1) dont bother fishing moat carps go straight to rusty caps before they are nerfed.

2) All Rank 1 Bonanza's ever made including the free mythic one.

3) when you are making the gil off all the ks30 merc dont waste it on stuff that will go down in price lvl smithing and save the rest.

Teach your ls how to zerg kirin in 3 minutes instead of dragging it out 1 hour.

Don't spend 80M in two weeks on leveling BLM as the people you do the Merc Kris fight will quit and your income will disappear.

Oh yeah, that 50M Weskit, will eventually be 5k

Don't go behind your dad's back and subscribe to this game at 15. It will be a plague for years to come and you will never get over the addiction.

My first day of playing was back in April of '06 when it was released for 360. I had a Mac and didn't have the $$ for the PS2 hd. After creating my rdm, equipped my onion dagger and level 1 gear (which I still have to this day) I ran out and poked a bee. I died right when a 75 whm taru named Megamama ran by. She raised me, gave me a pearl to her ls and told me the basics about AH, home point, signet, fame and crafting. She also gave me some yag necklaces and a stack of fire crystals. Within an hour I met another rdm named Dradant and we duoed all day to level 12. We bought snk/inv items and worked our way to Mhaura to catch the boat to the dunes that everyone was talking about. When we boarded, Dradant went to the upper deck and got killed by pirates..lol. I stayed below. There was a 75 rdm that /check me, then gave me 50k. He told me to keep the spirit of the rdm alive. I thought I was rich!

If I could go back that first day, I would tell myself:

1. You don't need to beat Maat on every job to break 75. RDM Maat sucks, beat him on WHM.
2. You will be stuck on the mission "Three Kingdoms". Don't get frustrated, because after 16 times you will meet the bestest taru ever named Thundurchunky. You MUST tell him to never buy gil and control his temper, preventing him from permaban. <3 ya Thundur.
3. Start mining and crafting goldsmithing earlier. Trust me you will eventually be rich, but a whole lot sooner.

Oh I gotta give a /shout out to Themuffingirl who was like 6th on my friends list. Just cause she rocks. Thanks for all the fun!
