I made that same mistake but I don't regret it I ended up lvling PLD again and just never touched BLM on my 2nd character :P

Ah, that would explain it. Never participated in any bonanzas. I was looking at that number thinking it was supposed to mean something when you look at it upside down (Like in Black Ops and World at War, 47093 is Ebola upside down), but I couldn't figure it out >.>

Fun figuring out things is fine, but only having t1 spells because I thought they would upgrade as I leveled till level 60 did not look too good.

My first day...Zipporah on Asura, I could not find Ace of cards for adventure coupon, I kept getting turned around in Windy, and upon exiting my mog house for the first time I had to call tech support because my screen went black and I had no clue you had to "set home" upon changing jobs, and last but not least I fell through the walkway in port windy and was walking on the water. It took me about 5 mins to figure out how to call GM, back in those days GMs responded to calls, and quickly. response time was about 2 mins.
Note on GMs: Just for fun I placed a GM call months ago, and the icon still blinks every day I play in top corner of the screen with out reply.

I was very fortunate that my son played for a year before i started so he told me everything i needed to know and gave me gil to start out with but here are my few i would tell myself.
1. learn what the crafting timer is and quit wasting time and material crafting solely on direction. I would probably be 100 smithing by now instead of 94.
2. don't try to lvl BLM first.
3. Try to find Azaih, Dhargo, Trinite, Godofthunder, Blackjett and all my other wonderful friends ASAP so you can start out with these great friends much sooner than you would otherwise.

1. Just because you can't use it, doesn't mean you should toss it... (Beastmen Seals.. rare/ex items for quests -_-)
2. Don't farm your subjob items late at night when you had an internet curfew. The skull is going to drop after 3 hours, your going to DC and the person you farmed with, is going to be mad.. for a long time ><
3. Just because dating your linkshell leader seems like a good idea, its probably not. He is a douchebag just like everyone says he is.
4. Don't ever tell anyone that you're a girl. They will never leave you alone once they realize you have boobs. :|
