Item Set

How is this for an outside set? Would Bersail Cap or Deceit Mask be better? I don't see Ocelomeh Headpiece, let alone the +1, in my future until the price drops.

I don't see any reason to not use iga back for an outside set. For head, I think bersail cap would be better until you get your hands on ocelomeh/leonine/anwig.

It's a pretty lousy trade, any properly constructed set that's gotten to the point where Atheling > Iga is your best swap is going to see essentially the same damage either way. Atheling is inv+1 and doesn't require you to precisely estimate the mob's AGI. If you're going to build for crits, set your target DEX somewhere where it's not a super marginal increase over a full damage set even when you're at dDEX=50.

Anyone have any comments on Oce. Helm (+1) versus Maat's cap for outside WS? Higher modifier and dDex contribution, but loss of fStr contributions (which wont be capped outside abyssea).

epona/brutal or AGI ring/earring

soil belt or anguinus or AGI belt

soil gorget or rancor collar

kamome or agi sekka +3

im using RR-GH-Apoc....

so any ideas wich are the best?

I'm kinda curious, I rarely post on any type of forums, but I had a question.

Outside WS setup
Main: Kannagi(90)
Sub: Oirandori
Ammo: Q. Tath
Head: Cuauhtli headpiece+1
Neck: Rancor Collar
Ear1: Aesir
Ear2: Brutal
Body: Iga+2
Hands: Seiryu(w/ crit hit rate+3%)
Ring1: Rajas
Ring2: Epona's
Back: Atheling
Waist: Soil belt
Legs: Byakko's(w/ Agi+6, lolMnd+4 & STP+3)
Feet: Lithe boots

My question is, with this setup(without counting merits), my WS stats would be Str+31, Dex+50 & Agi+50. Which category would I benefit from more, meriting Str or Agi? Also, what is the cap on Agi when you won't see much of a difference in damage?

I'd just stick with Oirandori. Overall it's a great katana, good DMG, good delay, NTE, etc. Not exactly sure how much exactly it lowers a mob's crit hit evasion, but that and +5 Dex helps me a bunch with crits on a lot of mobs(especially new content NMs and mobs.)

Same, I'm kinda being greedy for my augments, I want Agi+6, Crit hit dmg+4% along with something like Str instead of my lolMnd+4. I kinda want Str on Seiryu's as well if possible.

I'm sure it's possible, just a lot of luck. I got dumb augments before like Mnd+3, Vit+4 and crit hit dmg+1%. So trying to get max Agi, at least decent Str, along with max crit hit dmg, the odds are kinda slim.

Assuming you are using the byakko's for TP set as well (which you should be, if you are not using usu feet), STP will probably be more useful than str.
