What Grinds Your Gears?

Professors who assign homework over break. It's called a break for a reason, it's the only one we get all semester, and most students won't even be staying here. Do the Profs want to grade homework all break? Yeah, no. So why do they expect us to do homework all break? Assuming that we have nothing to do with our time except homework for their class is just a wee bit irritating, really.

It's also one of the few times I will be able to see my best friend since she moved away last summer. Thanks, but I'm not spending the only week I will get to hang out with her for goodness knows how long doing homework. I'll catch up on the two physics chapters, test, two books to read, and poetry writing when I get back. Eff off for one stinkin' week, Profs!

Hair in the soap!

My hair isn't very long for a girl's, it's only a tiny bit past my shoulders. But it's the first thing I wash when I take a shower, right. And after I'm done with hair, I grab the soap bar and start lathering up, and inevitably I will find a strand of my hair in my bar of Irish Spring and it is DISGUSTING!

Then of course it can't just lie nicely there on the soap so you can pluck it out, it has to somehow embed itself into the soap so I end up digging canyons in the thing trying to remove the hair. I have a nail scrubbie brush to clean under my nails, I swear that thing must get jealous watching me dig around in the soap bar all "Why do you even have me to clean under your nails when you just dig around in the soap anyways?" Ok, so imagination got a little out of hand on that one. It's midnight, forgive me.

Anyways. Long story short-- Hair in my soap=

when i run out of caffeine. or when ppl make me spill my coffee or monster, a war ensues.
EDIT: except when my niece does it, she's too cute to be mad at.

I was watching Colbert Report, segment about these new florescent light bulbs, and how they might outlaw or stop selling the normal way less energy efficient light bulbs,. Apparently alot of people are pissed off about that and it pisses me off how people are bitching about something that can save everyone way more money.

here in Ohio, they were going to force people to purchase energy efficient appliances and light bulbs, and charge it to the public...
was ruled unconstitutional..

though i agree that people should use them, cant force people to do so... right now, those type of light bulbs are way way more expensive then people would want to pay

When an LS gives you the impression that they're going to sell this item to you that's gonna drop this time, so you wait out there for an hour for it to pop and watch them kill it and when it finally dies you get a /tell saying 'someone in the party just said they wanted it, sorry we can't sell it'....yea thanks for wasting my time. Maybe next time ask around beforehand.

They don't always last 10 years anyways.. The ones we had in the bedroom lasted a year to a year and a half at most. The light stays on (because that's where the computers are) all the time unless we're sleeping. There were three, so not as if it was just one fluke. Their lasting power has been greatly over-exaggerated. The one in the hallway is still there after 4-5+ years, but that light almost never gets turned on.

Yeah, I'd be pissed if they tried to say I have to buy these pieces of ***that don't last all that much longer than normal light bulbs but cost up to 10x as much.

*** this, seriously. Always annoys me when I have LS members that are doing low level FoV asking for a raise. My first question is always 'Why didn't you have FoV RR on? It's not like it's that many tabs.' They never give a good reason. :/
