What Grinds Your Gears?

98% of people on this forum, trolling, turning everything into gear flames and general dickheadary.

anyone haate it when shows or anime are all like haha this or lovey dovey that, and at the end of an episode one of the characters pull a fast ball and decides to lose her memories or something of that nature? i just saw episode 10 of sora no otoshimono forte and what happened at the end of the episode made me go D:?! (ya it's an ecchi but the story is rather enjoyable)

When you are driving and someone on the other side of an intersection who has the right-of-way motions for you to go first. I'm a bad enough driver as it is, lady! Follow the rules and make it easier for you, me, and the line of people behind you. >.>

Most accidents happen when people try to be nice rather than follow the rules =/

nooo waaaayyy lol all the ones i see are because people are stupid lol they cut people off, change lanes without looking, randomly stop super fast not letting the person behind them stop lol

Also, I bought a mirror from a yardsale the other day, and I can't for the fricken life of me get the sticky stuff from the price tag off the mirror.

You know what I hate?
Getting ready to cross the street and not even being remotely close to crossing it with some person sitting at the stop sign waiting for you to cross.
It just bugs the ***out of me...they could have went in plenty of time for me to even reach the crosswalk...and then when i somehow feel the need to urgently cross because the dipshit has sat there and waited for the upwards of a minute.
I dunno, I've resorted to texting and acting like I'm walking in a different direction to throw them off to combat that but I hate that I have to do that.

also people that drive below the speed limit on the highway.
and inversely people that assume that you are obligated to go 15+ miles over the speed limit to be in the left lane.
Those drive me nuts too.
I'll ride the left going 70-73 if I damn well please.(65 speed limit).
I also hate it when people force me to brake-check them.
You do not need to be riding 3-7 feet away from my bumper large pickup truck/suv with brand new super bright headlights!

I pay attention to that stuff. I won't pay attention to someone being nice when they aren't supposed to. All the near accidents I've been in or when my friend is driving is when someone is being nice and everyone is confused, causing cars to go at once and potentially crashing.

I kinda agree with this because it seems like every single time I try to be nice and let someone in front of me (someone who clearly can't merge properly which also grinds my gears) they end up slamming on their brakes instead of moving over. Then they have the nerve to give me this 'WTF' look as they speed by. I don't understand this at all. If you would have speed up to begin with you would have no problem getting in.

I also really really hate drivers who tailgate people in the right hand lane, even more so when there is NO ONE in the left hand lane. Why is it so damn hard for people to just go the *** around!?

that's where I break-check em real quick and then switch lanes and zig zag around a semi and get in front of the semi to see what they'r gonna do...that's only when i'm feeling frisky though.
road rage it's a bit more cold and calculated as opposed to normal road rage.
if road rage was murder my method of road rage would be liken to a serial killer.
i dont' know which one though.

but he always makes the perfect mistakes to make the plot keep going, keeps me on edge.

the walking dead.
i like the show.
but some of the ***in there really grinds my gears.
but then again stupid women in horror movies grind my gears too if you can kind of understand where i'm going with that.

I think this is a matter of courtesy. People get out of my way, and I do the same when someone behind me wants to drive faster (I also hate when people ride your ***, you let them pass, and they don't go any faster, or they slow down.

I hate when someone cuts you off then rides like... 10-15 below the speed limit when it's already a pretty low limit and there's only one lane. What's worse is they have no reason to do it, you aren't tailing them nor do you have bright lights on them. -.- That pisses me off.

I go back and pass those people and then sit in front of them and see if they'll pass again and speed up when they try :/

I regret to inform you that the reason everyone is honking at you and riding your *** while you drive 70-73 in the left lane is because the left lane is reserved for passing only. Few people are aware of this fact. In some states you can even be ticketed for your behavior. Type "passing lane" in wikipedia for the longer winded explanation.

People who hurt animals - that grinds my gears.

We had this dumb older woman who would come into my work and order pizza then start bishing us out across the counter for no reason (probably looking for free meal). If theres something wrong nothing wrong with saying something but when you are compaining that the kids 6 inch pizza is too small because its not a full sized pizza... yeh that was a gear grinder

After a while our manager told her that if she didn't like our pizza she shouldn't come for pizza from us any more... she did it anyways then it switched to a stop harrassing my staff or get out, which made it all worth it XD

Most people in Ohio don't really call the left lane "the passing lane," we call it "the fast lane." The police here don't enforce its use as a passing lane only, so its use as a fast lane is perpetuated and sometimes even taught to new drivers.

IIRC, drivers in Pennsylvania (where they enforce its use as a passing lane) had a petition a few years back to increase the tolls for Ohio drivers coming into Pennsylvania. Our generally terrible use of their left lane was making them pull their hair out.

When im in class, and it takes 5 mins for someone to answer when I know the answer, someone says the answer before me(or gets called on), When I raise my hand and the teacher doesnt either see me, or doesnt wanna call on me, girls who have to loooooooooooong there wooooooords when they areeee taaaaalking in reaaaaaaal lifffffeee(dont get me wrong I only long my words irl on certain words), and knowing that when you meet someone famous they will not remember you....=_=
