Sorry to change subject. My network adaptor for myh PS2 has died. I since bought a PS3. I cannot log on to cancel my FFXI account. What is the phone number to call to cancel it? I cannot find a number anywhere.
So now i am just waiting for FFXIV to come out.
So i would say this does grind my gears as well. If anyone knows this number please send it to me by messages. Thanks!

I believe you can cancel it from the POL website.

Had this problem myself when I got deployed to Afghanistan. You have to call them at their phone number (858) 790-7529. They refuse to cancel an account through email or any other method but POL login or telephone. The got three months worth of fees out of me because I could not access Playonline from Afghanistan because they IP ban the entire country and could not call them during the normal hours because our phones are limited to a time slot each day -- it was -14 hours time difference and I could only use the phones from camp while they were closed. I was able to talk a friend into calling them from the US, pretending to be me. Gave him all my credit card info and POL ID before hand and he had no problems closing it on the phone.

I have a good memory for people who lack manners, so when I don't get thanked for helping them I make it a note to never help them again.

Not really a big deal but I do more than my share of helping random people so it does come back to bite them in the *** from time to time

I tend to be a lot less helpful than I used to be. I used to go help do any and eveything. But the second I needed help I only managed to get a few really trusty friends to help me. So until this day I help those people(the ones who haven't quit) and the rest when they ask for assistance just get ignored.

yeah I fell you. I was helpful for my first year and a half+ of playing it was about 4 months ago that I got tired of being everyones work horse.
